βItβs really like a lot of pressure, because [Jonathan] designs, like, incredible spaces,β the actress explained. She went on to share that the biggest obstacle has been finding a wedding venue that fits their vision without costing βa gazillion dollars.β Although she didnβt confirm a date for the wedding, itβs clear their plans are moving forward.
Deschanel & Scott Have βFunβ Expectations for Their Wedding
GettyAs Deschanel pointed out during her interview, she and Scott have something in common when it comes to weddings: this isnβt their first rodeo. βWeβve both been married before,β she said. βSo Iβm like, this [wedding] has to be the most fun.β She added that the couple is focusing on what they want this time around.
Deschanel was first married to musician Ben Gibbard, whom she divorced in 2009. Her second marriage to producer Jacob Pechenik also ended in divorce in 2015, and the former couple shares two children. As the actress explained, she has been very candid about her past relationships and what she values now. βThe thing is, itβs just all about chemistry,β she said. βHe and I can be together, and itβs easy.β
The Couple Has Built a Blended Family
