🚨 CORONATION STREET TER.ROR: NEWCOMER IDRIS SPARKS ABSOLUTE CHAOS WITH RUTHLESS DEBUT—BUT IS HE A REAL GANGSTER? 🕶️

Coronation Street aired a ruthless debut for Idris Nazir, with the newcomer being grilled over his potential as a gangster. As the new love interest for Leanne Battersby, is Idris in Weatherfield for just romance or a lot more?

The ITV soap’s newest character, a cousin of Kal, made a bold entrance in tonight’s episode, with the character turfing somebody out of his flashy sports car. This caught the attention of Brody Michaelis, who swiftly headed to Speed Daal.

He asked Leanne if she had any shifts going, and was promptly ‘rewarded’ with waiting the table for a pair of boisterous businessmen. With the duo displaying chauvinistic attitudes towards women, Leanne told them to leave.

This escalated into an argument, with several figures such as Adam, Alya, Sally and Tim all telling them to leave after paying the bill. Brody weighed in too, before one of the customers deliberately spilled food over his trainers.

Idris arrived on the scene, and told the pair to sling their hook. He also told them to reimburse Brody for some new trainers with some cash, with the pair’s brash demeanour soon dissipating as Idris had a hold over them.

He was soon greeted by relative Alya, with Leanne recalling that they had previously met at a wedding many moons ago. He explained to Adam that he was in the property industry, and was heading up an agency based in Manchester.

While Adam didn’t seem too fond of the newcomer, Brody offered his services to Idris, and expressed a desire for a job. He managed to get Idris’s number, who said that he would pay for “skills and initiative”.

Damo, the figure who was turfed out of Idris’s car, was drowning his sorrows at the Rovers, but was soon found by Idris. In an exchange down the alleyway, he said he’d get Idris’s money within the next day.

Brody overheard the conversation, and got chatting with Idris later on. He asked if the newcomer was a “gangster”, though he brushed that line of questioning off. He expressed fondness for Alya, and called Weatherfield a “rough diamond”.

He explained that he wanted to make a difference in the local area, and Brody seemed impressed by both his words and demeanour. But with Idris demanding money from Damo, is there more to his story?
