The very first seeds of a brand new romance have begun to sprout on Coronation Street, but not everyone is supportive of the match.
Hope Stape (Isabella Flanagan) has got her eye on relative newcomer Will Driscoll (Lucas Hodgson-Wale), and their friendship has developed quickly.
Earlier this week, Hope invited Will to study with her for their exams, and in tonight’s episode, they put the plan into action.
In what could have been a total coincidence, the youngsters quizzed each other on Romeo and Juliet, taking every possible opportunity to exchange flirtatious banter.
As Eva Price (Catherine Tyldesley) listened in, she seemed pleased with how well the pair were getting on, especially considering recent events.

Viewers will know that Will’s athletics coach Megan Walsh (Beth Nixon) had been grooming him, and he recently reported her to the police.
In the aftermath, Will has clearly been struggling, but he seemed to appreciate Hope’s no-nonsense attitude and her refusal to treat him like a victim.
While Eva was keen to encourage whatever would develop between them, Hope’s mum Fiz Dobbs (Jennie McAlpine) wasn’t in the same boat.
She made it clear that she thought Hope was far too young for a serious relationship, and that it would cause trouble if she and Will became an item.
Insisting that trouble was the last thing she and Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall) needed right now, she instructed Eva to keep an eye on them, to make sure things wouldn’t go any further.
Although Eva made it clear that Will wasn’t looking for another relationship so soon after his ordeal with Megan, she seemed disappointed by Fiz’s reaction.
Is Fiz worried about nothing? Or could Hope and Will be set to start a relationship in secret?
