Big Brother in turmoil… CBS forced into ‘unexpected’ late-night schedule shake-up for controversial new episode… after secret eviction twists threw the season off balance and left furious fans calling it the ‘worst in years’

BIG Brother has made an ‘unexpected’ schedule change for its controversial new episode as eviction twists ‘threw off’ the entire season, The U.S. Sun can reveal.

The latest season 27 shakeup comes after polarizing reactions from viewers and Big Brother alums alike over the “unfair” elimination of two fan-favorite Houseguests.

The Wednesday, September 24th episode, which will feature a controversial elimination, has been pushed back by two hours.

While Big Brother has aired at 8pm every Wednesday for 90-minute episodes, this week, the show will only be 60 minutes long and will air much later.

The delay is due to the season 49 premiere of its CBS sister show, Survivor.

Survivor’s premiere will air at 8pm on the network – pushing Big Brother back to a later night episode.

Thursday’s episode is also impacted, as it will be 90 minutes long instead of the usual hour – but it will still run in its typical 8pm time slot.

Then, the dramatic conclusion of season 27 finally comes to an end during the highly-anticipated 2-hour finale that airs at 8:30 pm EST on Sunday, September 28th.

‘THROWN OFF BALANCE’

All of the changes come as production has allegedly been scrambling to adjust to last-minute shakeups.

The source explained: “The season schedule kind of bit production in the a** this year because the eviction schedule got thrown off balance.”

The insider continued: “That mixed with other delays is what led to things like the twist that got Rachel and Keanu out.

“Those twists boiled down to the timeline and the fact that there were too many players and not enough weeks to evict.

“[Producers] realize it’s not what will be popular with fans and they hear the backlash loud and clear.

“Certain scheduling things pop up unexpectedly, it’s not avoidable with live TV. Producers will desperately try to avoid any elimination twists after seeing the reaction this season.”

This season, viewers have been furious as two fan-favorite players were eliminated – not evicted and not voted out.

The unprecedented move put a stain in the season, according to many, and led to a massive drop in ratings.

WARNING! SPOILERS AHEAD

Earlier this week, the show’s 24/7 live feeds went dark for over six hours.

As the live feed were blacked out, a fan-favorite contestant was evicted in a secret elimination – and viewers have been left outraged.

When the live feed returned, controversial yet beloved contestant Keanu Soto was no where to be seen.

While it’s not clear exactly what went down in the Big Brother house, Keanu was officially sent packing and is not part of the Final 4.

This means that Keanu joins Rachel Reilly among the Houseguests this year to not get a live eviction – which many fans have exclaimed is “extremely unfair.”
