Celebrity Big Brother 2026 start date, line-up odds, and ITV channel change

Celebrity Big Brother is set to return to our screens in 2026 with a handful of stars already being rumoured

The latest winner of the main Big Brother series is set to be crowned soon, and viewers are already eagerly awaiting the next series featuring famous faces.

Earlier this year, a dozen well-known personalities took up residence in the UK’s most famous house for a total of 19 days. The recent series included contestants such as Danny Beard, singer Chesney Hawkes and actress Patsy Palmer.

There was plenty of drama to keep viewers entertained, with actor Micky Rourke being removed from the house due to his behaviour. The show also served as the meeting place for singer JoJo Siwa and former Love Island star Chris Hughes, who started dating after leaving the house.

However, it was Coronation Street favourite Jack P. Shepherd who ended up being crowned the winner. Celebrity Big Brother is expected to return to our screens sometime in 2026, reports OK!.

But when can fans expect to see enter the house this time round? When exactly will it begin? And are there any changes being made for this year? Here’s all you need to know.

When will Celebrity Big Brother 2026 begin?

ITV have yet to confirm the start date for Celebrity Big Brother 2026. However, it is expected that it will air in the early part of the year.

Based on the most recent series, it could be expected to begin sometime in April and last for just under three weeks.

There’s a significant change anticipated in how fans will watch the show. Previously, the celebrity edition was broadcast on ITV1, but it’s been announced that it will follow the civilian version and be aired on ITV2.

Speaking at the Edinburgh TV Festival earlier this year, Kevin Lygo, ITV’s MD of media and entertainment, revealed: “Celebrity Big Brother we’re looking at…we’re thinking not on the main channel, that’s the answer. It’s so difficult now to book big celebrities, famous people, which is what we need on the main channel. Whereas you can go more interesting and niche on ITV2.”

He further added: “It does really well for us on ITVX. It’s a really important, crucial show. I love it and it does a tremendous job for us so, yes, it’s coming back.”

What are the latest Celebrity Big Brother 2026 line-up odds?

Official confirmations about the lineup for Celebrity Big Brother 2026 are yet to be made. However, there’s no shortage of rumours.

According to Closer, Junaid Ahmed from The Only Way is Essex and Real Housewives of London original, Amanda Cronin, are both reportedly in discussions to feature.

Bookmakers have pegged Coronation Street star Ben Price as a 6/4 favourite to participate. Ben also co-hosts a podcast with last year’s winner Jack P Shepherd.

Following his triumph on The Celebrity Traitors, Alan Carr has been given odds of 2/1 to enter the house, with Rebekah Vardy at 4/1 alongside ex-footballer Gary Lineker. Boxer Tommy Fury, previously associated with the show and ITV’s other popular reality series I’m A Celebrity, stands at 5/1.
