Shep confirmed he still speaks to Cameran on a regular basis and was even texting her ahead of his December 10 appearance on
Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.“We were texting on the way up here,” he recalled. “And I was like, ‘Yeah, I’m headed to New York.’ And she’s like, ‘Oh, I’ll be there next week.’ And when she said, ‘I’ll be there,’ I thought, ‘Oh my god. What if she rang the doorbell on
Watch What Happens Live?’”Shep said he immediately began imagining Cameran’s surprise cameo, knowing it would cause quite a stir among the audience, production crew, and host Andy Cohen.
“I go, ‘There would be a f–king earthquake if you did that in the Clubhouse,’” he continued. “[Cameran] was like, ‘Oh my god! I hadn’t even thought about that.’ But I’m sure that Andy would love to see Cameran again.”
“A lot of people would like to see Cameran again,” Molly interjected. “I love her. She’s sweet.”
“Yeah, she’s America’s sweetheart,” Shep added.

Shep and Cameran’s friendship began years before Southern Charm‘s 2014 series premiere. The two met in Charleston’s social scene and went on to develop a sibling-like bond. Shep has even referred to Cameran as his “little Yoda,” because she’s always offering him sound life advice.
“Cameran — we text, we sometimes call each other,” Shep told The Daily Dish in 2023. “I owe her a phone call ’cause I have to ask her a question. She’s my little Yoda sometimes.”
