Coronation Street fans ‘so worried’ after Becky Swain star’s Christmas comments

Some Coronation Street fans have said they’re ‘so worried’ about what’s ahead this Christmas for Becky Swain, or more importantly her former partner Lisa Swain.
Those who follow the ITV soap know that Becky, played by actress Amy Cudden, made her first appearance on the cobbles back in September, despite Lisa being led to believe she had been killed in the line of duty.
She showed up in the living room of Lisa’s new home, No.6 Coronation Street, on their daughter Betsy’s 18th birthday, and just days after Lisa got engaged to her new partner, Carla Connor. Becky has since been getting in between Lisa and Carla, with a clear intention to get her family back together.
She has already succeeded in splitting them up, with viewers witnessing emotional scenes as Carla called time on her and Lisa’s relationship. And when Carla wanted to try again with Lisa, the detective sergeant turned her away, with the Underworld factory boss removing her engagement ring and heading off to Spain – or so Lisa’s been led to believe.
When Lisa changed her mind about them being apart, it was too late as Carla wasn’t answering her phone, and it’s been revealed that Carla will worryingly go missing, with it coming out that she hasn’t checked into her hotel in Lanzarote, before she makes an appearance in the upcoming soap crossover, Corriedale.

Speaking ahead of the historic TV event, which brings Corrie and Emmerdale together for the first time in an explosive hour of drama, Amy told The Sun at the premiere of Corriedale at The National Science and Media Museum in Bradford, the UK City of Culture 2025, on Tuesday (December 16), that Becky was set for a ‘merry Christmas’.
And the comments sparked some concern among fans. @ediitedbysoph said: “Amy Cudden saying “it’s a merry Christmas for Becky” makes me SO WORRIED.” @Limoncello2525 replied: “I thinks she means that Lisa and Betsy are by her side at Christmas and Carla is out of the way.”
@KeeleyTown52229 added: “It doesn’t unfold like you think it does. It’s a Merry Christmas for Becky. She does lots of bad things. Becky is a virus & AC saying that hopefully #swarla will find the vaccine & come out stronger. And may I say she is looking absolutely stunning and gets the assignment.#Corrie.”
