Coronation Street fans in Carla Connor fear as they make observation in Corridale aftermath

Coronation Street fans are worried about what Carla Connor’s latest ordeal could do to her as they were quick to make an observation as she broke down during the aftermath of a crash which took the life of a Weatherfield resident.
The Underworld factory boss was seen back on the cobbles during Tuesday’s (January 6) edition of the ITV soap, weeks after she was kidnapped by her fiancee’s former partner, Becky Swain, who had been doing everything she could to win her family back.
Becky’s return came days after Lisa and Carla got engaged, and Becky soon succeeded in splitting them up, with viewers witnessing emotional scenes as Carla called time on her and Lisa’s relationship. Later, Carla had a change of heart but Lisa didn’t seem to want to know, leaving her partner heartbroken.
She left her engagement ring behind at No.6 and seemingly headed off on a holiday to Spain she had originally planned as a surprise for Lisa and Betsy. However, some things just weren’t adding up, especially with Carla not checking into her hotel, and it was soon revealed she was being held captive by Becky.
When DC Kit Green, who Carla had teamed up with, finally worked out what DI Costello’s mention of ‘Rhubarb Hill’ meant, with the addition of ‘Blessing’ being a location, he headed to the flat Carla was only being kept in, only to find no one there as Becky had already got onto Kit and had moved Carla before he eventually found her once and for all in a shipping container.

While in a bad way, Carla wasn’t willing to let Kit take her for medical help and encouraged him to drive as Becky continued her plans to leave for Rotterdam with Lisa and Betsy in tow. As the pair sped towards the port to make sure that she can’t leave, Carla was seen making a call to Lisa.
Becky was quickly put on edge and it appeared that Becky knew exactly who Lisa was talking to. Distracted and angry, Becky kept her foot on the car’s accelerator while Lisa demanded she stop the car. Betsy screams out to her mum and while the episode came to an end, the drama was only just beginning as they were involved in a catastrophic multi-vehicle crash.
The shocking accident featured in the first-ever crossover between Corrie and Emmerdale, titled Corriedale, with the special episode created to launch ITV’s new ‘soap power hour’ as Emmerdale and Corrie move to 30-minute instalments every weeknight.
During the follow-up visit to the cobbles, with Becky having been arrested, Carla was seen back at No.6 and after she listened to Betsy talk about her mum to Lisa, she questioned Lisa about the one thing Becky tormented her with while she had her locked up – that the former couple slept together.

Lisa’s admission was written all over her face, leading to Carla walking out. She was later seen outside Billy’s flat, where flowers and other tributes had been laid, and when Roy Cropper joined her, she broke down in tears before pulling the awkward cafe owner in for a hug.
While some were concerned over how Carla will respond to what she’s been through and what’s happened, others were quick to pick up on a reminder of her relationship with Roy.
