On The Bold and the Beautiful, Eric Forrester has stunned the fashion world by taking his legendary talents to Katie Logan’s direct competitor and upstart label, “Logan.”
Whats happened On The Bold and the Beautiful

While the shock is just beginning to be felt at Forrester Creations, Eric’s motivation is righteous: he isn’t defecting to destroy his son; he is stepping up to help Katie (Heather Tom) realize her dream. And this makes a lot of sense, bear with me, Eric has miles left on the clock, and I think doing what he loves gives him purpose, and Ridge stole that from him.
Let’s look at the consequences and repercussions of this alliance. Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) and Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) are currently dealing with RJ’s (Brayan Nicoletti) return and revelling in a victory lap, essentially forcing Eric (John McCook) into retirement. They treated the guy like an issue to be managed rather than the absolute genius who built the building they stand in. In contrast, Katie approached Eric like she was just happy the man had faith in her and valued his opinion. She didn’t see an old man in need of rest; she saw the master craftsman with much wisdom to share. By asking for his help, she gave him a purpose that Ridge successfully stripped away.
However, just because Eric’s move is one of purity doesn’t mean Ridge and Brooke won’t suffer the consequences. Eric lends legitimacy to the “Logan” brand that money, even Bill Spencer’s, cannot buy. With Bill providing the financial path forward and Katie adding a sincerely motivated drive, adding Eric to the mix turns a simple project into a massive global contender overnight.
Eric is a Crucial Key to Katies Success

I hope they can make Ridge and Brooke regret their actions. Without a doubt they should, the pair of them have acted horribly and reprehensibly. The regret won’t come from a fashion war, but from the humiliation of watching Eric thrive where he is appreciated. Ridge will have to watch his father produce masterpiece gowns for a competitor, motivated and strongly so, by the joy of helping Katie rather than the stress of fighting for his chair at Forrester.

Eric is a huge talent whose name carries the weight of history. By casting him aside, Ridge and Brooke didn’t just lose a designer; they lost the heart of their company. Katie was smart enough to pick it up. In trying to “protect” Eric, Ridge pushed him right into the most exciting creative partnership Los Angeles has seen in years. Eric is helping Katie fly, and Forrester Creations will feel the loss of its pilot.
