Welcome to The Bold and the Beautiful Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:
What happened on The Bold and the Beautiful
“Respect your elders,” declared Eric Forrester, and we couldn’t agree more. Ageist isn’t even a strong enough word to describe what Brooke and Ridge have done to Eric. Who throws a man a surprise retirement party when he has expressed absolutely no interest in retiring? Out of nowhere, Brooke and Ridge decided that was what must be, so they made it so. “Here, Eric, have a cake and some champagne. Then, skedaddle,” they essentially told him. Who does that except two people as clueless and vapid as Brooke and Ridge, and of course, Ridge’s equally vapid daughter, Steffy? They saw nothing wrong with telling Eric he was retiring, despite Eric giving them no indication whatsoever that he wanted to retire. Now, he wants to work for Logan and even his own wife isn’t on his side. Eric should kick Donna to the curb, too, since all she cares about is keeping the peace between her sisters when one sister is being nothing but a big ol’ baby because Katie dared to use her own last name for her new company. The horrors! Yes, Eric, show all of them that you still have it in you, and bring Brooke, Ridge, and their allies down a peg or two. Someone has to teach them a hard lesson, so why not let it be their elder?
