Katie Price secretly sent late-night drunken texts to football stars Jack Grealish and Kyle Walker while they were still together, her ex JJ Slater has alleged, as he finally speaks out on their explosive split.
The Married at First Sight star, 33, has lifted the lid for the first time since Katie, 47, married businessman Lee Andrews just a week ago — a move that left JJ blindsided. He now claims the messages were sent while the couple were on holiday with friends in Cyprus in October 2024.

JJ also suspects Katie may have been seeing Lee as far back as six months ago, while they were still in a relationship. There is no suggestion either footballer replied to the messages or behaved inappropriately.

Describing the incident as a “massive red flag,” JJ told The Sun on Sunday:
“We were out at a karaoke bar, drinking and having fun. When the bar closed, Katie wanted to carry on drinking with her friends. I was tired and went to bed.”

He continued: “I woke up around 5 or 6 in the morning and she wasn’t there. I went upstairs and found her on her phone — she was messaging footballers. It was Jack Grealish and Kyle Walker.”
JJ, who dated Katie for two years, said the players didn’t respond, but the act itself rang alarm bells. “There was a lot of drink involved, so I tried to give the benefit of the doubt,” he said. “But in the back of your mind you think, ‘I wouldn’t do that.’”

The claims come amid wider questions over the timeline of Katie’s relationship with Lee, whom she married in Dubai after what she said was a whirlwind romance sparked on social media. JJ says he had never even heard of Lee until he began receiving messages congratulating him on an engagement — with people mistaking him for Katie’s new partner.
“When you break up and ten days later they’re engaged, a lot goes through your head,” he said. “I don’t think many people have been in that situation.”

JJ now believes Katie first met Lee during a Dubai trip last summer, when she repeatedly extended her stay. “When she came home, she asked a friend to pick her up from the airport,” he added. “In a relationship, the first person you want to see after two weeks is your partner. That felt odd — an amber flag I chose not to pursue.”
The allegations add to a long history of controversy. Katie previously claimed on stage that she once kissed Grealish and later joked about his legs on her podcast. Another ex, Carl Woods, has also alleged he caught her sexting an England footballer while they were together in 2020.
JJ says he decided to speak out due to what he describes as a “lack of respect” and to address speculation surrounding the end of their relationship and the sudden start of Katie’s new marriage. He added that members of Katie’s family — many of whom did not attend her wedding — reached out to apologise, saying they had “no clue” what was going on.
As questions continue to swirl around Katie’s whirlwind romance and past behaviour, JJ insists he simply wanted to share his side of the story — one he says has been overlooked amid the shock headlines.
