“EDITED INTO OBLIVION”: Wanderland Outdoors SHUTS DOWN Amid ‘Severe Safety Threats’ as Angel Massie DECLARES ALL-OUT LEGAL WAR, SUING the Network for MILLIONS Over ‘Malicious, Reality-TV Manipulation’ That ‘Destroyed Her Life’

Angel Massie is taking her grievances from the screen to the courtroom in a scorched-earth legal battle that has sent shockwaves through the reality TV industry.

Days after the Real Housewives of Potomac star announced the permanent closure of her luxury Colorado retreat, Wanderland Outdoors, Angel, 48, filed a bombshell lawsuit against the network for millions, alleging that “malicious, reality-TV manipulation” was used to manufacture a hygiene crisis that never existed.

Angel described the collapse of her business as a direct result of being “edited into oblivion,” claiming that production intentionally staged messy scenes and edited out maintenance footage to portray her property as a “nightmare” to drive ratings.

“I think people will be surprised to see the actual raw footage versus what was aired on television,” Angel told Legal Affairs Daily in a statement shared on February 2. “Obviously, drama sells, but you cannot destroy a woman’s livelihood and call it ‘entertainment.’ They didn’t just edit a show; they destroyed my life.”

“There is so much more to this story. It’s both the hard part, but also it’s making this fight necessary for me. They chose to smoke my reputation for a storyline, and now they have to answer for it,” she added.

According to Angel, the decision to shut down Wanderland Outdoors began when her staff started receiving “severe safety threats” and harassment from viewers following the broadcast of the group trip.

“It started as online comments, and then people kind of picked up on the location,” she admitted. “We had people trespassing, making threats… It was like the worst kept secret that the network wanted me to be the villain, but we just weren’t ready for the real-world danger that came with it.”

“We weren’t lying about the quality of the estate. We didn’t neglect the guests. We were trying to figure out the best way to handle the backlash, and ultimately, we decided that for the safety of my employees and my family, we had to close the doors,” she continued.

Although there have been rumors that the property had existing code violations, Angel’s legal team confirmed the lawsuit focuses on the “deliberate distortion of facts” by production to create a false narrative of filth and negligence.

“We decided to just rip the band-aid off and sue,” her lead attorney explained. “The last thing we were ever going to do is let a corporation hide behind a ‘standard release form’ when they’ve engaged in such blatant character assassination.”

Regarding the future of her relationship with the franchise, Angel said she is finished with the “toxic” environment of reality television.

“We don’t know what the future holds for my TV career, but there’s no playbook for this. We were very much on the same page as a business where we knew things were tough, but the network’s betrayal was the final straw,” she reasoned.

That said, Angel confirmed she will be doing a series of independent interviews in the coming weeks to show her “side of the truth” and provide evidence that counters the aired episodes.

“We’re gonna do some press next week. This isn’t like a typical housewife feud where there’s a smoking gun and a lot of petty hate. This is a business owner fighting for her name,” she shared. “I still have my dignity. I still have my receipts, so in a world where it makes sense to fight for the truth, I’ll fight.”

Angel then acknowledged the massive financial loss she has incurred since the “blacklist” began and mentioned the heartbreak of seeing her dream project fail.

“We don’t really plan to let them win,” she noted. “I just hope that I find justice and can rebuild, whatever the heck that looks like, away from the cameras.”

The Real Housewives of Potomac production has yet to issue a formal response to the pending litigation.
