Good Morning Britain viewers declared they were ‘switching off’ the programme – as they hit out at presenters Richard Madeley and Kate Garraway.
Richard, 69, and Kate, 58, were on hand to helm Thursday’s (February 12) episode of the popular ITV show.
Not all of those watching were impressed with the pair – with some branding Richard as ‘rude and unwatchable’.
One wrote on X: ‘How is it possible that an ex-politician (Ed Balls) has more manners and self-awareness than the utterly rude and self absorbed Richard Madeley??
‘Please get rid of him – he makes me almost as angry as Piers used to!’
Another added: ‘I sometimes wonder what goes on in Richard Madeley’s head. #gmb.’

Not all viewers were impressed with the pair, as they expressed these opinions on social media during the programme
A third remarked: ‘It’s ‘turn-off’ Thursday on @GMB – Madeley is unwatchable.’
A fourth said: ‘Richard Madeley on GMB TV talking about male Norwegian skier who admitted on live TV that he cheated on his ex girlfriend.
‘Madeley speculated that if she forgave him and they would be seen out together and that people would point her out as the women ‘who got cheated on’. Weird.’
In addition, viewers also claimed that Kate had been ‘interrupting people’ in today’s episode.
‘@GMB Why does Kate keep talking over people??’, penned one.
A second agreed: ‘What’s going on GMB. All a bit messy today on the show.
‘We could hear Kate talking off camera, what was the point of the new male reporter doing the piece during Ranvir news section, we then hear Ranvir talk off camera. Normally the show is immaculate, not today.’
A third concurred: ‘Kate talks off camera every time she presents the show. Goodness knows why she hasn’t been stopped doing this by the gallery.’
Another expressed: ‘kate garraway keeps interrupting people stop her, viewer.’

Writing online, GMB viewers shared they were unimpressed with the pair
Meanwhile, the episode’s guests included Si King of the Hairy Bikers, discussing his mother’s dementia care.
While it is almost exactly two years on from the death of Si’s long-time friend and colleague, Dave Myers.
Elsewhere, Joe Wicks and Dr Chris Van Tulleken spoke about the health dangers of ultra-processed foods.
It comes as Ed Balls was previously silenced as a frustrated Good Morning Britain guest snapped ‘let me answer’ – before issuing a brutal swipe at his looks during the tense interview.
The former politician went head to head with Richard Holden, the Shadow Secretary of State for Transport as he appeared as a guest on the ITV breakfast show.
The Conservative MP took the opportunity to make a call of Prime Minister Keir Starmer to resign as the Lord Mandelson scandal rolls on.
The Former European Commissioner for Trade Mandelson had a long-standing personal relationship with Jeffrey Epstein that continued even after Epstein’s conviction in 2008 for soliciting prostitution involving a minor.
Mandelson was a senior Labour politician and strategist before Starmer rose up the ranks in politics, serving in Cabinet roles under Tony Blair and Gordon Brown.
However, Mandelson and the PM would have operated within the same party circles, and in 2024, Starmer appointed Mandelson as the UK’s Ambassador to the United States, solidifying their working relationship.
During the exchange live on air on Good Morning Britain, an image was shown of Holden at the darts alongside Robert Jenrick, who defected to Reform UK.

It comes as Ed Balls, 58, went head-to-head with with Richard Holden, the Shadow Secretary of State for Transport, in yesterday’s episode

Holden appeared as a guest on the ITV breakfast show, where he was interviewed by Ed and Susanna Reid
Ed, 58, poked fun at the men being dressed as Robin Hood, suggesting it was because, like the story, they want to take money from the rich and give it to the poor.
He questioned whether Holden planned to follow in the footsteps of his friend Jenrick with any plans to join Nigel Farage’s party.
But Holden hit back: ‘I think you also see another of my colleagues, Jack Rankin is also there and neither Jack, nor I, are leaving the Conservative Party.’
As Holden continued to explain Jenrick can ‘make his own decisions’, he was interrupted by Ed – but the politician wasn’t backing down.
He demanded: ‘Ed, let me answer the question,’ to which Ed continued: ‘You’re saying to Good Morning Britain unequivocally, you will not leave the Conservative Party for Reform at any point in this Parliament?’
The Tory minister responded: ‘I can guarantee that. I have been a member of this party since I was a teenager. I was a council candidate for it against the odds in Whitechapel in the 2000s.
‘I’ve stood for Parliament. I’ve worked behind the scenes for the Conservative Party.
‘The Conservative Party is the only one with a clear plan for the future of the country, a team that can deliver and a leader who’s fit to be prime minister now and in the future.’
Ed’s co-host Susanna Reid brought the interview to a close, but not before Ed took one final swipe at Holden – joking he looked more like Friar Tuck than Robin Hood.
Holden snapped back against the quip, leaving Susanna, 55, shocked: ‘That’s rich coming from you, Ed.’
Good Morning Britain airs weekdays on ITV1 and ITVX.
