Isabel Hodgins has joyfully confirmed the birth of her first child, welcoming a baby daughter with her school-teacher husband Adam Whitehead.
The Emmerdale star, 32 — best known for playing Victoria Sugden — shared the happy news with her Instagram followers on Friday afternoon, revealing that their daughter Georgie Grace Whitehead was born in the early hours of February 11.

In a touching coincidence, the birth fell on Adam’s birthday, giving the couple an extra reason to celebrate.
Posting her first photograph of the newborn — who weighed a healthy 8lb 5oz — Isabel simply wrote:
“And then we heard you.”
In a separate message addressed to her delighted husband, she added:
“Well at least you’ll have double celebrations now.”
Isabel first confirmed her pregnancy in August, just four months after marrying Adam, admitting at the time that the couple were stunned by how quickly they fell pregnant.
Speaking previously to The Mirror, the actress revealed:
“It’s something we wanted to happen, but now that it actually has, it’s still sinking in.”

“Originally, we’d booked a wedding for 2026,” Isabel said.
“But then I realised I didn’t want to wait that long to start a family. I also wanted to be married first, so I kept changing the goalposts — but this was always the plan.”

However, Isabel has previously admitted that pregnancy was not without its challenges, particularly during her first trimester.
“I didn’t know what to expect,” she said.
“I think it’s been tougher than I imagined — a bit of a rollercoaster with fatigue and mood swings. Luckily, I haven’t been very sick, so that’s a plus.”
Announcing her pregnancy on Instagram last year, Isabel wrote enthusiastically:
“First comes love. Then comes marriage. Then comes… Baby Whitehead.”
The couple tied the knot at Castlefield Rooms in Manchester in April 2025, surrounded by close family and friends.
Isabel later revealed that her Emmerdale co-star Eden Taylor-Draper served as one of her bridesmaids, alongside a school friend and her mother.
“She’s like a sister to me,” Isabel said of Eden.
“They’re all such special, beautiful people.”
Other Emmerdale guests at the wedding included Danny Miller, Mark Jordon, Laura Norton and Jeff Hordley.
Reflecting on her relationship with Adam, Isabel also recalled a moment when fellow castmate Zoë Henry predicted her future.
“I remember telling Zoë about Adam early on,” she said.
“And she said, ‘I’ve got a feeling you’re going to marry this man.’ She just knew.”
Now, less than a year after their wedding, Isabel and Adam are beginning a new chapter — as proud parents to baby Georgie Grace.
