‘Just forget to take your pill…’: RHONY’s Erin Lichy slammed for giving ‘irresponsible’ and ‘dangerous’ marriage and parenting advice to fans — as the Bravo star doubles down, tells critics to ‘lighten up’… and sparks a furious debate over boundaries, consent and family planning…

REAL Housewives of New York star Erin Lichy has been critiqued by fans over her controversial marriage and parenting advice.

The Bravo star shared a tip on social media for married folks “on different timelines” about having children that isn’t sitting right with some, but she’s standing by her comments.

Erin, 38, was asked by a fan to share tips for couples who don’t agree about when the right time to start having kids is.

She replied: “This is prob not PC but just ‘forget’ to take your pill. Oopsie!

“Ok I mean if it’s a serious reason like he has to move for work of he has a health issue idk then fine but if he’s just stalling just have sexy time and make it happen lol

“Humans been doing it for centuries.”

A screen grab of the Real Housewives of New York City star’s comment was shared on Reddit, where critics weighed in.

“PSA you do not need to answer all of your ask me anything posts like girl why expose your crazy like that,” slammed one person.

A second person bashed her, saying: “She sounds so unintelligent.”

“She could’ve given actual good advice, I think she’s trying to be funny but it’s not. If my man and I had different timelines, I’d evaluate why. If his reasoning didn’t work for me that’s a different conversation, but forcing a kid on someone who isn’t ready is not a good route. I don’t want to have a kid with someone who isn’t ready to have a kid,” a third fan shared.

A fourth critical commenter wrote: “One gross two who said the wife wanted to have kids first.”

“Also…… it’s not PC because it’s not okay????? another person pointed out.

“Like if a man pokes a hole in a condom to get your pregnant without your consent. Of when your husband took money without your consent and you ripped him a new one? Can we stop using the term PC towards things that are actually outside moral guidelines?”

Another hater posted: “Seriously hoping this is the final nail on her proverbial coffin.”

Hitting back

Erin addressed her critics in another Instagram Story, this time speaking directly into the camera.

“Guys, you need to lighten up. Like, a lot of you. Not all of you,” she complained.

“Some of you are cracking up but a lot of you are sending me these crazy messages saying, like, ‘This is not reproductive for – this is, like, not right what you’re saying about, you know, somebody just getting pregnant.’ Like, I’m kidding.”

The RHONY star continued: “Like, I’m saying if your husband is like, just being late, like, slow about it, but you did want to have kids, move it along.”

She went on to slam her critics, maintaining that she wasn’t seriously suggesting women duping their husbands.

“I mean calm down. You guys get so worked up. Relax,” she said.

“Like, just laugh. It was a joke. Is someone really going to read my question box and be like, ‘Oh, Erin said I should just screw my husband and get pregnant tomorrow so I’m going to just trick him because Erin said so.’

The reality star then seemingly doubled down.

“I mean, it’s like, if the guy wants to have a kid but can’t figure it out, just, you know, move it along. That’s what I meant. OK?”

Marital struggles

Erin is often open and honest with fans about her own marriage and challenges she and husband Abe Luchy have faced

As referenced by one of her critics, she even put her marriage struggles on display on Season 15 of RHONY.

Cameras rolled as Erin and Abe were seen at odds over his decision to sell some bitcoin without telling her.

Andy, 57, playfully scolded her on the late night show for calling her husband a “motherf***er” on air.

Things between the duo appear to be much better since the money drama.
