What Happened on The Young and the Restless

So, it was pretty damn obvious that Billy (Jason Thompson) is nowhere near ready to close the book on their history. We saw a charged and emotional scene in her suite. Billy finally stopped spinning and laid his cards on the table.
This was Billy at his most raw and honest, devoid of any ego. He didn’t deny or hide from his reputation for self-sabotage; instead, he just came out and said that his feelings for Sally (Courtney Hope) are the only thing he simply cannot rationalize away. He said that as much as Chancellor is his destiny, so is Sally the other half of it. Did anyone else catch one in the feels during this scene?
But Sally? Is She Buying The Pitch?

Now that Sally is finally at a place resembling professional equilibrium, she is rightfully cautious, to say the least, of Billy’s usual “chaotic energy.” For years, Sally has been defined by the men around her.
To Sally, Billy represents a beautiful but dangerous cycle: intense passion followed by the inevitable, fiery crash. She made it pretty clear: her hard-won peace is no longer up for negotiation.
The fans are, as one would expect, at each other’s throats. On X, one viewer argued that Billy needs a therapist, not a girlfriend, before “dragging her back into his drama.” Meanwhile, Facebook groups are swooning, claiming Sally deserves a man who actually fights for her, unlike Adam, who is perpetually buried under the Newman family crest.

I’m torn. All of me loves the raw honesty Billy showed. Sally is standing on her own two feet, free from the shadows of Genoa City’s great dynasties, and asking her to trade that stability for a “maybe” feels a touch selfish. While his heartfelt plea really did feel sincere, I can’t help but worry that Billy isn’t falling for Sally, he’s just falling in love with the chase again.
The fans are split, but I have always been a Billy fan, and he has always stated that Chancellor, if up for grabs again, he would grab it with both hands. C’mon Sally, let him have the company and the girl and let The Young and the Restless have it’s best coiuple back again.
