It looks like The Young and the Restless‘ Billy is about to lose Chancellor Industries once again, now that Cane has made a deal with Phyllis to give Chancellor back to Victor in exchange for Lily and the twins.

Plus, Victor supposedly kidnapped Jack and is strongarming Billy to return Chancellor in exchange for Jack. If Billy loses the company that means so much to him, will he go work for Sally?

Cane gives Billy the shaft again on The Young and the Restless

What in the world are we going to do about The Young and the Restless’ Cane (Billy Flynn)? Ever since he returned to Genoa City, he started all this AI nonsense. And now, because of it, Billy (Jason Thompson) just can’t catch a break. For the second time, Cane offered him Chancellor Industries. And for the second time, he’s ready to yank it away from Billy.

Victor (Eric Braeden) pressured Cane to get Newman Enterprises back from Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) — or else Cane would never see Lily (Christel Khalil) and the twins, Mattie (Lexie Stevenson) and Charlie (Noah Alexander Gerry), ever again. Cane will do whatever it takes to get them back — even if that means making Billy “collateral damage,” as he called him. Wow! That’s cold, Cane, considering how much you wanted Billy to have Chancellor in the first place. He proposed that he and Phyllis should offer Chancellor back to Victor. He got her to agree by assuring her that he would persuade Daniel (Michael Graziadei) to forgive her for stealing NE. Sheesh, with all the twists and turns in this storyline, we feel like mice trying to make our way through a maze!

Poor Billy finally got what he wanted, and now he’s going to lose it — again. Unfortunately, he has no backup plan. No other job offers. Nothing else on the horizon. Now that his relationship with Sally (Courtney Hope) is back on track, will she offer him a position at her new company, Spectra-Charles Media?

Audra would be one of Billy’s superiors

Even if Sally does offer Billy a position (perhaps a COO position), we can’t imagine how that job will work out, considering that Audra (Zuleyka Silver) is the co-CEO there. That means she would be one of Billy’s bosses, which he would not be happy about. He doesn’t like Audra, so he wouldn’t be okay with having to report to her and ask for her approval for everything he does. While Audra would have no problem bossing Billy around, he wouldn’t put up with it for very long.

So, it looks like he’s going to be in between a rock and a hard place. Victor won’t rest until he gets Chancellor back, and Cane won’t rest until he knows that Lily and the twins are safe. Where does that leave Billy?

Would Sally be willing to make Billy a co-CEO as well?

Unless Sally is willing to make Billy her second co-CEO, then, we don’t think he would be able to work at Spectra-Charles Media. Besides, he might ask Sally to include the name Abbott in the company name. Maybe he would want the name to be Spectra-Charles-Abbott Media or Spectra-Abbott-Charles Media.

We can’t picture Billy being satisfied working there if Sally doesn’t make any changes. The COO position alone may not be enough of an incentive for him.

Will all of this business chaos create problems for them in their personal relationship, which they just put back together? We’re guessing it will. We’re also guessing that when Sally first learns about Billy losing Chancellor, she’s going to be tempted to say, “I told you so. You can’t trust Cane.”
