Hasselbeck, who previously anchored The View from 2003 to 2013, kicked off her guest hosting stint by telling viewers she was “thankful” to be invited back on the show. “We may have differences of opinion but we love each other and we’re stronger for it,” she announced at the top of the show Monday, when she first joined her former co-hosts at the Hot Topics table.
“It might get a little spicy at times,” she admitted. “But we do not hate each other. We love each other.”
And it certainly did get spicy. It’s only been three days and Hasselbeck has stunned the hosts and the audience alike with her provocative political takes.
In one instance, she left The View audience stunned when Hasselbeck called Democrats “the party of masks.”
“This is the party of masks. You guys forced masks on everybody in the United States,” she said, referring to the COVID-19 mask mandates. “Like I don’t want to hear, ‘You can’t see my face.’ I just can’t. I love you, but I can’t.”
She’s also clashed with Sunny Hostin on multiple occasions on the show, especially after Hostin told her, “I think people that voted for Trump – I was not one of them, I think you were – those people wanted America first.”
So, will Hasselbeck return to The View? Or did Wednesday’s tense broadcast mark the end of her run on the ABC talk show?
Is Elisabeth Hasselbeck on The View today?

Hasselbeck will be back on The View for Thursday’s (March 5) broadcast.
Actor Daniel Radcliffe will also be stopping by the show to discuss his new Peacock series The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins and his Broadway play “Every Brilliant Thing.”
Hasselbeck will later be back on Friday (March 6), with comedian Robby Hoffman set as the celebrity guest.
It’s unclear if Hasselbeck will return to The View after Friday’s broadcast. The Survivor alum is now the fourth guest host to fill in for Griffin, following Amanda Carpenter, Sara Eisen and Savannah Chrisley.
