The Depth of the Pain: Brooklyn Beckham Appears to Take Another Swipe at Mum Victoria by Sharing a Late Birthday Tribute to “The Best Mother-in-Law” Claudia Peltz — Right on Britain’s Mothering Sunday

Brooklyn Beckham has once again appeared to take a pointed swipe at his mother Victoria Beckham after sharing a glowing birthday tribute to his mother-in-law Claudia Peltz — just as Britain celebrated Mothering Sunday.

While families across the UK were showering their mums with cards, gifts and heartfelt messages, the 27-year-old cooking influencer was instead posting a loving message to another maternal figure in his life.

Brooklyn, who lives in the United States with wife Nicola Peltz, took to Instagram on Saturday evening to celebrate the 71st birthday of Nicola’s mother, former model Claudia Heffner Peltz.

Alongside a photo showing himself smiling beside Nicola and Claudia, Brooklyn wrote a short but affectionate message: he wished the “best mother-in-law” a happy birthday, adding that he loved her very much and hoped she had an amazing day.

The timing of the post raised eyebrows among fans, as it appeared online only hours before Mothering Sunday began in the UK — a day when many expected the eldest Beckham son to acknowledge his own mother.

Meanwhile, Nicola, 31, also paid tribute to her mum with an emotional message celebrating the milestone birthday. She wrote that simply being able to call Claudia her mother made her feel “the luckiest ever,” adding that she loved celebrating her because “your light is so bright you make everything better in this world.”

The actress continued by telling her mother she loved her more than words could express and hoped all of her dreams and wishes would come true.

The post arrived amid the long-running tensions between Brooklyn and his famous parents, Victoria and David Beckham, which have reportedly strained the once close-knit family in recent years.

As the UK woke up on Mothering Sunday, Victoria was instead celebrated publicly by her husband David and their other children.

Former England captain David Beckham shared a heartfelt tribute to his wife on Instagram alongside a throwback photo taken when she was pregnant. In his message, he called Victoria “the most amazing mummy” and said she was an inspiration to their four children.

He added that the family loved her deeply and that he felt incredibly grateful for the life they had built together, writing that if anyone deserved a special Mother’s Day, it was her.

Both David and Victoria also shared loving messages to their own mothers, Jackie and Sandra, as part of the celebrations.

The couple’s youngest child, Harper, also posted a touching message to her mum on Instagram. She described Victoria as “the best mum ever” and thanked her for always being there, supporting her and putting up with her even on her worst days.

Harper added that she didn’t say it enough but was grateful for everything her mother did every single day, ending the tribute by saying she loved her and hoped she had the best day because she truly deserved it.
