Coronation Street‘s Will Driscoll faces more tense encounters with his family next week, as frustration rises over Megan Walsh escaping justice for her crimes.

The Driscoll clan were shell-shocked this month as they discovered that Megan has been grooming Will, but the police have been unable to issue charges as there’s not enough evidence. Will is currently sticking to the false story that he had a one-sided crush on Megan and she rejected him.

Next week, Will’s grandmother Maggie gets tougher as she tries to convince the troubled 16-year-old to tell the truth. When Maggie starts to cross the line with her comments, her son Ben accuses her of bullying Will.

However, Maggie isn’t the only member of the Driscoll family who’s hoping to get the truth out of Will. His older brother Ollie also urges him to stop protecting Megan and put himself first.

Ollie hopes he can finally get through to Will, but a breakthrough could still be a long way off.

Meanwhile, after speaking to neighbour Tim Metcalfe about the cabbie’s own grooming experience, Ben corners his son and declares that it’s time for him to stop defending Megan – as she’s tearing their family apart!

Could his family’s words finally persuade the tortured teenager to reveal all about his sick relationship with Megan? Or does he still have a long way to go before he accepts the truth?

“In Will’s mind, he’s not a victim,” Lucas Hodgson-Wale, who plays the schoolboy, recently told us.

“He thinks a victim is someone who has suffered ‘intense hardship’ and since he thinks he’s enjoying this, he doesn’t see the harm. He even tells people, ‘I’m not a victim’. He’s naive to the fact that Megan is scheming and taking charge of everything.

“He’s just tagging along, not realising how much of a toll it’s taking on his mental health or his family.”

He added: “It will take him a long time to accept the idea that it wasn’t a mutual thing and that he was actually being manipulated.”
