Here is your The Young and the Restless recap for Friday, April 10, 2026 featuring Matt outsmarting Nick, and Malcolm leaving town after Holden wasn’t a match.
What happened on The Young and the Restless

Sharon arrived at Crimson Lights and asked Stephanie how she could help. She introduced herself to Stephanie and asked if she was visiting Genoa City. Sharon inquired about Stephanie’s son and wondered if he visited her coffee shop often. Stephanie revealed that her son was none other than Holden Novak.
Holden walked in shortly after that, and he and Stephanie walked out to the patio. Chelsea stormed in, frantic about something, so Sharon asked her what was wrong. Chelsea still hadn’t heard from Adam, and she had a terrible feeling that something in Vegas had gone wrong.
Chelsea said she had a nightmare that something was wrong. It felt worse than a dream. It was so vivid that it left her petrified. She had a vision of him transforming back into Spider, and all of his personality had been wiped away. Chelsea said she called out to Adam in the dream, but he refused to go by Adam and only went by Spider.
Sharon informed Chelsea that she had a similar experience with Adam, and it went the same way as it did in her dream. Chelsea worried that history would repeat itself. However, Sharon was convinced that Nick would prevent Adam from backsliding into his old life.
Chelsea appreciated Sharon’s reassurance, but she had a gut feeling that something was wrong in Vegas. She spent years as a con needing to recognize danger, and that’s exactly what she believed was happening. Adam was in grave danger. Chelsea was ready to go to Vegas and find out for herself.

Holden told his mother that the clinic fast-tracked his appointment, and his mother must have a lot of high standing within the medical community. Stephanie asked if she should apologize for her success, but that’s not what Holden meant.
The situation was a top priority because the sooner they got answers, the sooner Malcolm could receive treatment. Stephanie praised Holden for getting tested because his selflessness could save his father’s life.
Lily was floored that Holden was her brother. Malcolm explained that Stephanie hid the pregnancy from him, and after she met someone, that man was willing to raise Holden as his own. Lily didn’t accept any of Stephanie’s reasons for keeping the truth from Malcolm, and she didn’t want to be as forgiving as he was.
Lily didn’t know how to process the new information about Holden being her brother. She acknowledged that it wasn’t as intense as what Malcolm faced, but it was still jarring news. Malcolm asked Lily if Holden was a good man.
Lily admitted that she didn’t know Holden well and that he was a close friend of someone she had been previously involved with. Damien trusted Holden, and that was compelling enough for Malcolm to feel better about the situation. They had butt heads a few times in the past, but it wasn’t anything life-altering.
Malcolm found it ironic that the truth didn’t come out until he fell ill. Lily opted to believe Malcolm when he vowed that Stephanie was a good person. She was also impressed that Holden would be selfless enough to agree to donate. Malcolm didn’t want to go too far ahead of himself, and he just hoped his son was a match.
Lily reminded Malcolm that Mattie and Charlie were potential matches as well. In the chaos of everything that had come out, Malcolm completely overlooked the twins as potential donor options. He believed that thinking of that ahead of time might have stopped Stephanie from telling him the truth about Holden.
Lily wanted Malcolm to lean on her in the same way that he did after Neil’s death. Malcolm revealed that his first course of chemo and radiation had been scheduled in New York. Lily was surprised because he didn’t even have a donor yet. However, Stephanie wanted everything set up as quickly as possible after they found a match.

Stephanie called Malcolm and told him that she was at Crimson Lights, and Holden wanted him and Lily to join them. Stephanie assured her son that Malcolm was one of the best men she’d ever known. However, they were quickly cut off by Malcolm and Lily’s arrival.
Lily confessed that the news was shocking, and she asked Holden how he felt about it all. He was just as floored, but he wanted to find out if he was a match. The test results came in, and it was confirmed that Holden was NOT a match.
Lily suggested having Mattie and Charlie tested, and Stephanie was taken aback that he had forgotten to tell her about that part. Lily wanted to come with them, but she needed to return to work, and Malcolm urged her to remain in Genoa City.

In Las Vegas, Riza dropped by Adam’s room and complimented his incredible poker performance from the night before. She handed him an envelope containing his cut of the winnings, and he joked that the kiss was his reward. Adam refused to accept the money, which set off alarm bells for Riza because he had previously told her how badly he needed money.
Adam told Riza to consider it a down payment against his future earnings. Riza took the money back and pointed out that his luck could change, and he might not earn the same in the future. Adam asked about Riza’s partner and if he knew about his performance in the poker game.
Riza agreed to arrange a meeting later that day between Adam and her partner. Nick listened in from outside the door. Adam wanted more information about who he was meeting, but Riza didn’t provide any upfront details. She wanted Adam to make an informed decision for himself.
After Riza left, Nick returned to the room and asked his brother how far he was willing to go with her. Nick said he was only stringing her along to get to Matt Clark. Nick wondered if Adam would end up in bed with Riza, but Adam vowed that he wouldn’t allow things to escalate that far.
Adam knew the kiss was a bad look, but he couldn’t risk scaring her off. Nick was concerned about how Adam acted after winning because his elation seemed genuine. Adam thanked Nick for having his back, and he was stunned at the brothers working together in Vegas on a common goal.

Riza returned to her room and was shocked to find Matt inside. He wanted to know when he’d meet Spider, and she confirmed that he was ready at any point. Matt replied, “Great. Let the games begin.”
Riza called Adam and told him to visit the suite where the poker game was, and she wished him luck. Adam told Nick it was showtime and that he was ready for a face-off with Matt. Nick suggested that Matt wouldn’t be in the room when he got there. Nick was a bit anxious because there was a lot at stake.
Adam asked if Nick wanted him to call off the operation. He wondered why his brother had suddenly questioned his skill set. It was entirely possible that things could go haywire, but Adam was convinced that Matt would be the person waiting for him behind the door.
Adam declined a call from Chelsea, which Nick thought was a bad idea. Nick hated that he asked Adam to be Spider when he went head-to-head with Matt. However, Adam wanted to get back to the reason why he was there. His primary goal was to protect Sharon, Noah, and the rest of their family.
Matt asked Riza to tell him everything that she knew about Spider. She claimed that she had already filled him in about everything, but he wanted more. Matt was curious why Spider had suddenly stopped playing after being so successful at the game.
Matt pressed for a genuine reason why Spider randomly stopped playing. He said that the secrecy regarding Spider bugged him, and it didn’t make sense that he suddenly returned after years away from the table. Matt knew that Riza was into Spider, so he felt like she was keeping a romantic history from him. She denied it, but he didn’t like being lied to.
Nick got to the door, but it was already ajar. He entered the room, and it was a trap. Matt Clark placed something on top of his head and grabbed him. Their worst nightmare had come to fruition.
