The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers hint that the show may have already locked in a major story twist.
Sally Spectra’s (Courtney Hope) due date may be months away, but it’s never too early to start thinking about the birth of her child and who might help bring this little one into the world.
In the June 9 episode, Y&R may have just offered up a huge clue about where the story’s headed.
Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) rehashed their issues as they established that they’re destined to loathe each other.
This all goes back to the night Delia Abbott (Sophie Pollono) died since Billy is always going to blame Adam for his daughter’s demise.
There’s no getting past it from Billy’s perspective, so he feels like he’s doomed to hate Adam forever.
Although Delia’s death was an accident, Adam still has to live with the pain of taking her away from her family.
Likewise, Billy has to live with the pain of losing her and all the anger he still feels toward Adam for his role in ending Delia’s life.
Now that the show’s bringing up Delia and the part Adam played in her grim fate, it could be a way to set up a massive story curveball.
We know that Adam’s going to latch onto Sally’s unborn child due his own lingering Baby Ava grief anyway.
Adam will obsess over Sally’s bun in the oven, so the show’s keeping him close to the situation ahead of the birth.
By the time Sally goes into labor down the road, Adam might be the only one around to help her out.
It’s easy to imagine Y&R creating a scenario where Adam gets trapped with Sally and has to deliver her little one.
Adam might be the reason Billy’s child makes it through a traumatic birth alive.
In other words, Billy may always loathe Adam for what happened to Delia, but he may also have to live with permanent gratitude to Adam for saving his youngest son or daughter.
The Young and the Restless spoilers suggest some heroic developments could be coming up for Adam down the line, so stay tuned for any shocking news ahead.
