Coronation Street has released a first look at the moment Carl and Kevin Webster’s explosive feud gets completely out of hand – leading to a gunshot!
The warring family members are about to go head-to-head once again, as Kevin discovers Carl’s recent attempt to sabotage his car brakes.
The Websters’ new crisis begins when Kevin stumbles across the incriminating footage of Carl on Tyrone Dobbs’s phone.
Kevin is determined to take revenge, leading to a high-stakes showdown at the garage as Carl pulls out a gun to defend himself. This has been supplied by Carl’s dodgy associate Fiona, who wants him to carry out an illegal job for her.
When Tyrone and Ronnie Bailey get dragged into the argument too, they urge the two men to talk things through.
Peace talks are the last thing on Kevin’s mind, though, as he boldly picks up the gun and predicts that it’s fake.
Kevin and Ronnie end up wrestling for the gun, risking tragedy as the weapon is fired. Will anyone be seriously injured?
“Kevin realises that Carl tried to kill him by tampering with the car,” Jonathan Howard, who plays Carl, recently explained. “It is a brilliant scene where they all end up in the garage together to sort it out. Ronnie has locked them all inside and Kevin goes for Carl with a wrench.”
He added: “It’s a knee-jerk reaction from Carl to pull out the gun. There is a moment of panic when Kevin picks up the wrench, and he goes to hit Carl with it. Carl nervously points the gun, just to keep Kevin at bay.
“Everyone is shocked that Carl has a gun in his hand – what the heck is he doing with it? He is at the point of desperation. But is he able to pull the trigger – is he a killer?”
