Coronation Street is gearing up to solve its most recent mystery as Theo Silverton’s killer is set to be revealed to viewers during a special episode. Airing later this month, a dinner party turns explosive when accusations fly among the guests, with Theo’s murderer finally being confirmed to the audience.
A promo for the one-hour episode airing at 9pm on 22 June sees a party of six convening for a dinner that’ll bring a few secrets to light.
As a series of flashbacks revisit the fateful April night when Theo’s body was found, Corrie is ready to reveal the identity of the killer.
Before the conversation turns onto the deadly deed, the promo sees Kit Green discovering that Sarah Platt has invited Todd Grimshaw and Summer Spellman round for dinner, and he decides to extend the invitation to Maria Connor and Gary Windass.
It’s not long before the dinner party descends into chaos, with a broken glass and an overturned chair as Maria seizes the opportunity to accuse Sarah and Gary of having an affair. With Kit also suspecting that Sarah and Gary might have rekindled their past romance, he demands answers.
The dinner then sheds some clarity onto Theo’s untimely death. As all of the guests have a motive for wanting Theo gone for good, who is the one who enacted their revenge against Todd’s abusive husband?
Theo was revealed as the victim of Corrie‘s murder mystery, which culminated on the night of Lisa and Carla Connor-Swain’s wedding. The soap had been teasing one of five polarising characters would kick the bucket, with Theo in the running with Megan Walsh, Carl Webster, Jodie Ramsey, and Maggie Driscoll.
The character played by James Cartwright was revealed to be the victim in an episode aired on 1 May.
