The Young and the Restless Tuesday, June 16 Recap: Jack Fakes Patty Romance, Pushes Kyle and Traci to Move Out

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) recap for Tuesday, June 16, reveals that Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will go to extremes to save Diane Jenkins Abbott (Susan Walters), so let’s talk about how far he’ll be willing to go.

At Dr. Laurence Markham’s (Jere Burns) house, Diane will remain agitated since she doesn’t remember having a nervous breakdown, but he’ll continue acting like she’s just blocking it out.

Although Diane will want to speak with Jack, Dr. Markham will suggest it could trigger a setback.

The doc will also hint about other methods of treating Diane if talk therapy doesn’t work and will eventually threaten her into eating something as well.

Diane will push for answers about when she’s being transferred to the clinic, so Dr. Markham will insist he’s making all the arrangements in the morning and that he’s handled all Diane’s supplies.

Diane will think something about this feels personal, but Dr. Markham will act like he’s just doing what’s best for his patient since Jack tasked him with caring for her.

Meanwhile, Jack will tell Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) about Patty’s claims regarding Diane and about the pic she showed him.

It’ll leave Jack desperate for more info, so he’ll think the best thing to do is play along with Patty’s demands.

Over with Patty, she’ll speak with Dr. Markham over the phone and suggest it doesn’t matter if Diane is cooperative or not since she’s already on the verge of getting what she wants.

Once Jack summons Patty, he’ll act like he’s willing to surrender to her desire for a future together, but he’ll want some assurances about Diane first.

Jack will want to talk to Diane’s doctor and will seek confirmation that it’s not Dr. Markham.

Patty will assure Jack that it’s someone else since using Dr. Markham would be a conflict of interest.

As for Patty, she’ll make it clear that she needs Jack’s full commitment.

Patty will want Jack’s mind, body, soul and heart, so he’ll insist he’s completely committed.

Although Patty will be a little skeptical, Jack will acknowledge that there’s going to be an adjustment period for him.

Patty will insist she can be patient and will chuckle over this being like an old-fashioned courtship.

Since Patty will want to take their romance public by going out for cocktails, Jack will get on board.

Kyle will pop up and play his part by acting outraged over Jack seeing Patty, but Jack will rush to her defense and build up some trust in the process.

Jack will take Patty to Society, where Abby Winters (Melissa Ordway) will throw a fit after seeing Jack and Patty together.

After Jack privately explains that he’s trying to get Diane intel, Abby will try to have faith in his plan and will bring over a bottle of bubbly.

After Patty toasts to their wonderful romantic adventure on Tuesday’s Y&R episode, Jack will toast to everyone getting what they deserve.

Later, Jack will have a family meeting with Kyle, Abby, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) and Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland).

After Jack explains all the scary Diane details, he’ll insist on faking a relationship with Patty is his best option.

The goal will be to make Patty think Jack is falling in love while a mission is underway to find Diane.

Detective James Burrow (Matt Cohen) will also be digging discreetly.

There’ll be plenty of concerns about wildcard Patty and all the damage she could still do.

Jack will argue that he’s going into this with eyes wide open and that he’ll turn the tables on Patty when the time is right.

Jack will also have a request that will affect Traci and Kyle more than the others, so they’ll wonder what he needs them to do.

It turns out Patty will want to move in with Jack, which also means she’ll want everyone else at the Abbott mansion to move out.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Jack will relay that news and deliver a shock in the process, so stay tuned.
