Outlander may be over, but the hit romance epic still has one last chance to cement its legacy at the Emmy Awards.
Voting for the 2026 Emmys is open now and concludes June 22, with the eighth and final season of Outlander appearing on the ballot in 18 categories. Starz is really pushing the series finale, “And The World Was All Around Us,” with Television Academy members able to vote for it in directing, writing, cinematography, music composition, music & lyrics (“Across The Sea And Sky”), picture editing, sound editing, and sound mixing.
The show is submitting its two lead actors once again — Caitríona Balfe as Claire Fraser and Sam Heughan as Jamie Fraser — in the hopes that lightning will finally strike. While Emmy voters have so far ignored the dynamic duo, they both received bids at the Critics Choice Awards and Gold Derby Awards, and Balfe earned four Golden Globe mentions.
The four supporting performers on the Emmy ballot are Sophie Skelton as Brianna MacKenzie, John Bell as Young Ian Murray, David Berry as Lord John Grey, and Richard Rankin as Roger MacKenzie. There are no guest stars being pushed for Emmy attention this year.
To date, Outlander has been nominated for four Emmy Awards: music composition in 2015, period production design in 2016, and period/fantasy costumes in 2016 and 2018. It has yet to win.
Here are all of the categories in which Outlander has submitted at the 2026 Emmys. Episode titles are listed where applicable. The nominations will be announced July 8.
