If you’re reading that headline and going, “Huh? When did that happen?” we get it. But we can tell you exactly when it happened — it was when Bold & Beautiful had Hope start considering jumping ship, going from Forrester Creations, where she felt she was getting the short end of the stick (and always would), to upstart Logan, which promised her the moon (and the stars for good measure).
From that moment on, Hope seemed like an entirely different person. A weak-kneed waffler who’d have trouble ordering off a brunch menu, never mind charting a course for her own future. And the only explanation we can come up with? She’s somehow been kidnapped and replaced by an imposter — an especially indecisive imposter at that!
The Corporate Shark Has Turned Into a Goldfish
Not too long ago, the Hope that we know helped orchestrate a coup at Forrester Creations with steely-eyed determination and not so much as a hint of regret, even when it caused mom Brooke to lose Ridge to Taylor for the umpteenth time. Hope was single-minded, driven, remorseless. She made Steffy look like a pussycat! (Even the OG Stephanie would have been like, “Da-amn!”)
Now we’re to believe that Hope is being eaten alive by guilt and terrified of destroying her relationship with her mother over [checks notes] making a legitimate career move. A hundred percent yes, Hope has gone about it all wrong, playing at a “leave of absence,” signing with Logan while she’s still contracted to FC — is that even legal? — and going along with Bill and Katie’s curious “Everything must remain a secret!” approach to PR.

The Mover and Shaker Is Now a Hemmer and Hawer
But at the end of the day, Hope is allowed to quit a job she doesn’t like and accept one that she thinks she will enjoy. So what’s with all the ping-ponging and tears? Couldn’t somebody have told this Hope doppelganger that it was just a few weeks ago that she was playing Lady Macbeth, trying to manipulate Brooke into ousting Steffy from the co-CEO seat at FC? That it was only a year ago that Hope was ready to smack her mom upside the head for always choosing Ridge over her? Or would that have been asking too much? Guess we have our answer, eh? #MakeItMakeSense
