Amanda Batula will not be returning to Summer House for season 11, but why?

Following the departure of West Wilson, 31, and others, including Ben Waddell, multiple sources have spoken out about the decision to leave Amanda, 34, out of the upcoming episodes, shared the cast’s reaction to her exit, and offered an update on the status of her role on Summer House‘s latest spinoff, In the City.

“Amanda was not invited back to season 11,” a source told Us Weekly on June 29, explaining that executives thought it wouldn’t “be a fun summer” if Amanda was present since she didn’t have “organic relationships with the rest of the cast.”

The show is “about the cast having a good time together,” despite any “ups and downs” they may have, the insider continued.

According to the report, Amanda appeared to agree that a potential role on season 11 was “not a good fit,” and her co-stars were “in agreement with the decision.”

“[Amanda] wants to focus on her mental health [after the reunion],” a second source noted. “Amanda doesn’t feel those are her genuine friendships anymore and wants to focus on her next chapter and what that looks like. [She] and West are at ease that they will not be on the show. They are both OK with moving on.”

Following the reveal of her controversial romance with West, which came as a shocking betrayal to Kyle Cooke, 43, and Ciara Miller, 30, Amanda is also facing a possible departure from In the City.

“[Her role is] up in the air,” the source confirmed.

Meanwhile, a third insider revealed that Kyle, along with Lindsay Hubbard, 39, and Carl Radke, 41, were planning to return and were in the midst of contract negotiations.

Summer House: In the City season one airs Tuesdays at 8/7c on Bravo.
