The Bold and the Beautiful’s July 1 episode featured Brooke and Katie’s feud reaching a dangerous new level as Hope found herself caught in the middle. Meanwhile, Electra continued struggling with Will’s latest secret, and Forrester worked to recover from Logan’s stunning fashion show.
Logan Celebrates Success
Liam was proud of Hope for putting herself first and taking the leap away from Forrester. However, Hope couldn’t help but focus on how Brooke was going to react. She wasn’t able to sulk for too long because Bill, Will, Wyatt, and Shauna barged into the office, still riding high from the stellar fashion show.
Bill hoped that Hope was proud of herself as well because she put herself out there, and it was a smashing success. He was most proud of Wyatt for securing the Hope for the Future diamond, but the acquisition still bothered Will. He was terrified of Electra’s reaction to yet another secret between them.
Wyatt wanted to focus on the positive, but Will couldn’t shake the anxiety about dealing with Electra. She wasn’t going to handle the news well, and being blindsided in front of millions was humiliating.
Bill informed Hope that Brooke was already in the building, so their face-off was imminent. She would only be able to avoid the consequences of her actions for so much longer. Soon she would have to look her mother in the eyes and either beg for forgiveness or stand in her authentic truth.
Brooke and Katie Explode
Katie stared in disbelief at the shattered monitor after Brooke destroyed it. Her sister was still adamant that Hope would not be remaining at Logan. Brooke wanted her daughter extracted from the competition as quickly as possible.
Brooke accused Katie of ruining Ridge and Eric’s line because they were forced to cancel the show. Katie claimed she had no idea her announcement would have any ramifications for Forrester, but that’s a bit difficult to believe. While Brooke is being a bit dramatic about a lot of things, Katie worked in PR, so she knew better than anyone that they couldn’t move forward with their original show.
Brooke didn’t want Hope to travel down the same path that Eric did. Katie acknowledged that she knew Brooke would be upset, but she wanted her big sister to accept Hope’s new role at the company. All Katie wanted was for Brooke to dig deep and muster up some semblance of happiness for her and Hope.
Katie made one last effort to appeal to Brooke’s love for her, but it wasn’t enough. Blood only had just so much of an impact for Brooke. Her ego and her reputation always superseded any familial connection. Katie begged for Brooke to find a way past all of the pain and hurt and somehow reconnect as sisters.
Brooke was vehemently against the idea of repairing things with Katie. She couldn’t find it within herself to forgive Katie for what she’d done. Katie had provided amnesty to Brooke for far worse sins, including sleeping with Bill on numerous occasions. Brooke was oozing hypocrisy, and she was deflecting as if her life depended on it.
Katie and Brooke ended up taking things to a level of physicality, and Hope luckily showed up just in time to stop it from getting worse. Brooke told Hope she was ready to return her to her real family. She truly believed that Hope was going to give up her dream just to return by her side.
Forrester Faces the Fallout
Forrester continued to do damage control in the aftermath of Logan’s public blindside. Steffy and Ridge refused to allow Logan to get the best of them. They didn’t want to become a footnote to Logan’s big story, so they were forced to postpone Eric’s grand return to couture.
RJ checked on Electra in the design office and noticed that she was still distraught over Logan debuting their collection with the Hope for the Future diamond. She couldn’t understand why Will kept that a secret from her. He knew how much it meant to her and how hard she’d been working on her first jewelry line without Ivy, so it was especially hurtful.
The Hope for the Future diamond was a guaranteed success for Logan’s jewelry line. RJ tried to remind Electra that she was talented, even if that precious jewel overshadowed her line. He also couldn’t help but throw in a snide comment about this being a prime example of Will acting just like his father.
