Hope Defends Her Future
Brooke reminded Hope that Forrester Creations was her true home. Her entire career was built in the halls of the famed fashion house. She accused Hope of losing her way, and she was determined to extract her from Katie, Logan, and the influence of Bill Spencer.
Katie asked her sister not to lash out against Hope. However, Brooke refused to allow Hope to continue working with Katie or anyone connected to Bill. Hope admitted that she understood that Brooke would be hurt by this. Regardless, she had to do what was best for her career. Hope was at a professional standstill at Forrester, and she needed to land somewhere that respected her talents.
Brooke requested to speak to Hope alone, asking Katie to vacate her own showroom. Hope agreed with her mother’s request, and on her way out, Katie tried to remind Brooke that nothing about their new collection was meant to be a personal attack on her.
Brooke claimed that Hope’s actions left her gutted. Everything was about Brooke. Every word out of her mouth was about how it impacted her. She couldn’t get past Hope or Katie daring to do something that didn’t revolve around her. However, the more Brooke made everything about herself, the more defiant Hope’s facial expressions became.
Seeing Hope walk onto the catwalk was the shock of a lifetime, but even if Hope was upfront with her mother, she was never going to be supportive. Hope had no reason to believe that Hope for the Future was going to remain a priority for the company. Brooke had an opportunity to celebrate her daughter’s achievement, but rather than do that, she reamed Hope for how her actions impacted herself, Electra, and Zende.
Brooke accused her daughter of being more obsessed with fame and money than loyalty to her mother. This was a master class in narcissism, and it looked like something finally clicked for Hope. This was who her mother was and always had been. She was never going to change, but jumping to Logan was her chance to distance herself from the toxicity.
Brooke threw the failed coup between Hope and Carter in her daughter’s face. She blasted Hope for no longer having the morals that she touted about herself. Somehow Brooke genuinely believed that Hope was chasing the money, which couldn’t be further from the truth.
Hope wanted to work somewhere that she felt heard and valued. She needed to feel seen, but nothing she said was going to change her mother’s opinion that she sold out. Hope was conflicted about leaving Forrester Creations, but she needed to make herself the priority. Everyone can’t base their life choices on how Brooke Logan might feel about it. Hope asked one final time for Brooke’s forgiveness.
Bill and Liam Support Hope
Bill hoped that Hope knew that she had nothing to feel guilty about. Liam knew that his father was correct, but that didn’t change how ashamed Hope felt for choosing herself. On what was supposed to be her big day, Hope was forced to focus on Brooke’s feelings and how her success impacted her.
Liam wanted to stand in his wife’s corner, but she requested to handle things alone. He was freaking out about the idea of her going face to face with a betrayed Brooke. Will was feeling the same type of way because he knew that Electra was likely furious about the jewelry line and the Hope for the Future diamond.
Will wanted to believe that Electra would find a way past his silence. However, if history was any indication, she was going to make it all about herself. Instead of understanding the importance of company secrets, she was going to act like he committed some sort of heinous act. If the shoe was on the other foot, she would’ve stayed mum as well and kept Will in the dark.
Electra Pays the Price
Ridge gave Electra the unfortunate news that her jewelry line was being put on hold. There was no way to combat the juggernaut news of Logan having the Hope for the Future diamond, so this was the only available option. Ridge apologized because it was a shock to the system, and he reiterated that it wasn’t a reflection on Electra’s talents or her line.
Ridge and Steffy wanted to pump the brakes so they could reconfigure their plans for Eric and Electra. She blamed Will for keeping the truth from her, and she assumed that he knew about the diamond the entire time. Ridge again apologized, but it was a done deal. Electra’s line was on hold, and it was all because of Logan’s surprise show and Hope’s defection.
RJ took the time to take jabs at Will, hoping Electra would reevaluate her desire to remain with him. Electra knew that she needed to return home and face Will, but she wasn’t sure what she planned to say. It just needed to be done.
Electra paced the living room of the beach house, waiting for Will to return home. She recalled his previous promises to not keep any secrets and start fresh. However, at the same time, the image of Hope walking the runway wearing the Hope for the Future diamond was ingrained in her mind.
Will finally arrived home, and Electra feigned congratulations for Will’s family and their company’s success. Electra demanded to know how he kept so many things about Logan from her. This could be the final straw that destroys their relationship forever.
