Kelli Potter suggested that Porsha Williams is not a “girl’s girl,” as she addressed what caused their “disconnect.” The Real Housewives of Atlanta star also hinted she would’ve never hired Phaedra Parks as her lawyer if she knew what she was saying “behind my back.”
On a past episode, Porsha claimed that Kelli slept with a married pastor – before Phaedra quietly ‘confirmed’ it. Earlier in the season, Porsha first brought up the allegation after meeting up with Kelli for tea. Afterward, Porsha seemed surprised that Kelli no longer wished to be friendly with her.
“When I went into this season, I really did come with just a clean slate and open arms [to Porsha],” said Kelli on The Reality Rundown, via @nochaser_tv on Instagram. “When we went to the tea room, I really went to just really be at peace with her.”
“What do you expect from there [after her accusation]?” she went on. “What did you think I was gonna do? You didn’t think I was gonna have my foot on your neck all season after that? … So I don’t know. But I think Porsha is a great woman. I just don’t know if Porsha is a girl’s girl.”
Kelli said she doesn’t know “what our space will look like” in the future – and it’s not because of Porsha’s falling out with Shamea Morton.
“It has nothing to do with Shamea,” she said. “I do want to clear that up. I think for [Porsha], it does [have something to do with it]. … Because she did say that at the tea room. She felt like our relationship changed when I got close to Shamea, and that’s not true at all. At the end of the day, my relationship with Shamea and my relationship with her is completely different.”
“I think it’s really just about [Porsha] showing up and being truthful,” said Kelli. “I think that’s the most important part. And I think that’s where it gets the disconnect.”
At one point, Kelli was asked if she ever addressed Phaedra for supporting Porsha’s claim that Kelli slept with a “married Nigerian pastor who knows Dennis McKinley.”
“No, I never addressed Phaedra. I’m waiting for the right time to address Phaedra about the lies that were told about the Nigerian married pastor,” she said, via @theworlsarefightingg on Instagram. “When I accepted [legal] help from Phaedra, I did not know those things were being said about me. So we have to realize that when we’re filming, [there are] certain things that I don’t hear … or they sneak it in confessionals.”
“I definitely probably would not have hired her to represent me if I’d known those things were said about me behind my back,” she said. “Absolutely.”
