Could Megan Walsh be lying about her pregnancy on Coronation Street?
Coronation Street fans reckon they have worked out that Megan is telling a massive lie about her pregnancy.
The teacher, played by Beth Nixon, has been having an illicit affair with teenager Will Driscoll on the world’s longest-running TV soap for months now, and shows no signs of slowing down with her shock behaviour. The horror grooming storyline has left fans sickened.
Megan, a teacher at Weatherfield High, has gone to great lengths to hide her wrongdoings by striking up a fake relationship with colleague Daniel Osbourne ( Rob Mallard ), but has claimed to Will that she is pregnant with his baby. We saw her telling her news to Leanne Battersby before deciding to have a termination.
After discussing her health issues, it was heavily hinted she had decided to go ahead with the pregnancy, while it wasn’t made clear who knew this. Hints have included her suddenly not drinking alcohol.

Earlier in the week, the teacher was seen checking out her stomach in the mirror. It is not known exactly when the baby was conceived, but the move made some fans wonder if she was expecting at all.
Furthermore, she was seen drinking cocktails with Leanne in Friday night’s episode, with fans believing them to be alcoholic – while Megan was shown ordering a non-alcoholic one. Drinks aside, some fans had noticed some behaviours that left them believing either Megan was not really pregnant or she was, but she was lying about who the father is.
One fan wrote on Reddit: “‘I’ve been suspicious of Megan’s pregnancy ever since it came about. The other day, unless I’m going mad, I’m sure she was checking out her (very flat) tummy in the mirror. Surely, she’d be showing by now?
Another wrote: “I suppose it depends how far along she is. It might be she’s a few weeks or so. I do find it a bit weird, no morning sickness or weird cravings.
“I have a feeling she isn’t pregnant because surely Daniel would notice the change in her body, I know she isn’t showing but there a other changes that happen when a woman is pregnant!”
However, some viewers were unconvinced, and one said : “If she’s not pregnant, that scene with her looking at her stomach would have been entirely pointless given no one else was present. Therefore I think she is still pregnant.”
Another fan wrote: “I find it odd she & Will have suddenly stopped talking about the baby. He seemed really excited at the start.” As for the paternity, a fan said: “If she is I’m not convinced it’s Will’s!”
