Coronation Street star James Cartwright has a pretty busy schedule now he’s left the cobbles behind, with his exit being confirmed after Theo Silverton was revealed to be the victim in the ITV soap’s ‘Murder Week’.
After months of teasing its latest murder mystery, the soap finally revealed that the villain’s body was the one discovered by Betsy Swain on the day of Lisa and Carla’s wedding, with the abuser being found dead in an alleyway.
As it is yet to be revealed exactly what happened to Theo, including who’s responsible for his death, Cartwright’s stint on the soap seems to be done and dusted — though we wouldn’t rule out a ghost appearance of some sort.
“I’ve done that for 12 years, so they very kindly gave me the time off to go and do [Corrie], but then I go back to Ambridge, which is a much quieter place,” the star explained, adding that The Archers has “a slightly different” tone compared to Corrie.
