On General Hospital, Molly Lansing-Davis has become a published author once again for the first time in many years while balancing her demanding job as an assistant district attorney. And she’s been dealing with a bad case of endometriosis, which caused her to have a minor procedure and spend time resting in bed. Off-screen, her portrayer, Kristen Vaganos, has some happy news to report as she’s landed a new role.
General Hospital star is multi-talented
Vaganos is a new commercial for the Subway restaurant, which debuted on TV in March. The spot advertises the chain’s new Artisan Italian bread.
In the spot, Vaganos is an employee in Subway gear, baking the bread, gazing lovingly and with pride at the loaves that come out of the oven.
She shared the clip in her Instagram account, tagging Subway and her talent managers, captioning it, “Professional gluten enthusiast. Much love to @bbrtalentagency and @subway 💛💚🖤.”
GH costar Braedyn Bruner (Emma Scorpio-Drake) commented, “Iconic.”
Several fans weighed in about how the GH star is helping them become fans of the Subway sandwiches.
Vaganos is a break winner
On Instagram, Matthew_kerr said, “This ad works wonders, I just bought six! YUM!” cameronscheetz said, “THAT’S MY SANDWICH ARTIST DIVA.” The fan mattsapien advised, “Getchoo a girl that looks at you like she looks at that bread.”
A user who seems to be a friend of Vaganos, imkatherineellis, added, “Omg I auditioned for this, and the way I pretended to smell the bread was unruly.”
Vaganos regularly films comedy skits for The Content Machine, a group run by two comics. Their Instagram account has 1.5 million followers. The skits poke fun at relationships, family conflicts, and other parts of everyday life.
One of her latest skits with the group pokes fun at the problems people have with canceling subscriptions to online services, imagining what it would be like if you tried to cancel your personal relationships the same way.
Vaganos can do comedy and drama
In the clip, Vaganos confronts a man playing her boyfriend and accuses him of cheating on her. Then she says she wants to break up with him.
The guy is wearing a T-shirt and ball cap, but his outfit suddenly changes to a dress shirt and tie, and he’s sitting at a laptop wearing headphones and a microphone as if he were manning a customer service line.
Vaganos says, “I want to cancel any and all boyfriend services now,” and the man counters with corporate speak and statistics.
On that post, Instagram user mikemazzitelli could relate, saying, “I’ve been on hold with Spectrum for the last 15 years, I’m really hoping to cancel my Internet by 2035.” The fan danyb707 added, “He should have proposed to upgrade her relationship to the boyfriend deluxe for two months at the same price 🤔🤔🤔 Nobody likes the downgrade 😮💨😮💨😮💨.”
Vaganos has been playing Molly since 2023. She also writes, produces and acts in short films. She has six in production listed on her IMDb page. One of them, George’s Garage, is set to run at a film festival in Kansas City this week.
In that one, Vaganos stars with Torean Thomas as a woman whom George meets in his garage. In the logline, “George just wants to clean his garage, but a stranger hiding has other plans. After realizing he is stuck, George finds there is more than meets the eye with this stranger. George is in for an interesting night as he tries to reason with this lady, who might have the key to helping him get out.” If this woman is anything like ADA Molly, he might be in trouble.
