#BreakingNews Jill Zarin Fired From E!’s ‘RHONY’ Reunion Show ‘The Golden Life’ After Racist Bad Bunny Tirade

“Real Housewives of New York City” alum Jill Zarin has been fired from the original cast’s new E! series after she ranted about Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl halftime show.

Zarin was initially cast on E!’s “The Golden Life,” but the show’s producers, Blink49 Studios, announced they’ve cut ties with her in a statement on Tuesday.

“In light of recent public comments made by Jill Zarin, Blink49 Studios has decided not to move forward with her involvement in ‘The Golden Life.’ We remain committed to delivering the series in line with our company standards and values,” the producers shared in a statement to Variety.

Page Six broke the news that Zarin as well as fellow “RHONY” alums Luann de Lesseps, Ramona Singer, Kelly Bensimon and Sonja Morgan would be appearing in a new show on E! together. It was later revealed that the show would be titled “The Golden Life” and start filming in the spring. The series features the women reuniting in Palm Beach, Fl.

Zarin has since deleted her video on Instagram, in which she called Bad Bunny’s performance, “the worst halftime show ever.”

“It’s 250 years that we’re celebrating right now, the United States, and I just don’t think it was appropriate to have it in Spanish, and, quite frankly, grabbing his ‘g’-area,” she said. “I think it was totally inappropriate.”

“You’ve got all these young kids watching the Super Bowl, and he doesn’t have to be grabbing himself every five seconds because he’s so insecure. Seriously.”

Zarin, 62, continued, “It looked like a political statement because there were literally no white people in the entire thing. I think it was a political statement, and I’m not taking a side one way or the other. I just do. I think it was an ICE thing.”

The reality star also threw shade at Lady Gaga, who made a surprise appearance in the halftime show.

“And Lady Gaga got a facelift — I didn’t recognize her!” she said. “I literally had to Google her face to see who it was. We all couldn’t agree who it was.”

“So that was kind of fun in the middle of halftime. At least it gave me something to do, because it was so hard to watch.”

A number of Bravolebrities hit back at Zarin’s take on Bad Bunny’s performance, including “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Bozoma Saint John, who wrote, “‘I’m not taking a side,’ yet very clearly taking a side. Please. I, on the other hand, LOVED Benito Bowl … for its beauty, culture, history, and message.”

And Zarin wasn’t the only “RHONY” alum who faced heat for her comments on Bad Bunny’s halftime show.

Bethenny Frankel posted, then deleted a Tiktok video, in which she questioned, “Should these entertainment vehicles — the Grammys, the Emmys, the Oscars, the Super Bowl — should this be the place for personal, cultural, political views to be expressed?”

“Certainly there are major world events that take place, whether COVID or tragedies, 9/11, and it’s unavoidable that it’s discussed, but where is the line?” she continued.

She later took down the video and shared another clip, in which she applauded Bad Bunny for using his right to “express [him]self.”
