Brittany Cartwright Is ‘Praying’ Her Divorce from Jax Taylor Is Finalized Next Month, Says He Is ‘Absolutely Not’ on The Valley Season 3

Cartwright, 36, gave fans an update on her personal life at BravoCon 2025 in Las Vegas

Brittany Cartwright is very ready for her marriage to Jax Taylor to be officially a thing of the past.

Cartwright, 36, appeared during a cast panel for The Valley at BravoCon in Las Vegas on Friday, Nov. 14, and she gave fans an update on her ex, from whom she filed for divorce in August 2024.

She said that she is “praying” that the divorce will be finalized next month. “Things are happening with Jax,” she said. “It was supposed to be Oct. 15, and it’s been pushed back. Fingers crossed.”

The Vanderpump Rules alum, who shares son Cruz, 4, with Taylor, 46, also confirmed that her ex will not appear on the upcoming season of The Valley, news that he first announced in July.

She said he will “absolutely not” appear — which the BravoCon audience applauded — and teased, “A lot more funny moments this season.”

Taylor said in a statement over the summer that he was “stepping away” ahead of season 3.

“Right now, my focus needs to be on my sobriety, my mental health, and coparenting relationship,” he told Variety. “Taking this time is necessary for me to become the best version of myself — especially for our son, Cruz.”

At the panel, Cartwright said she hopes sharing her own experiences with Taylor and deciding to file for divorce six months after they separated will help others. “If I could help people learn how to get out of a toxic situation, that was really important to me,” she said.

Taylor has opened up about his years-long struggles with addiction since Cartwright filed, and when season 2 of The Valley was airing in the spring, he said he “cried my eyes out” and was “disgusted” by his behavior toward his ex-wife.

Weeks before Cartwright filed for divorce last August, Taylor had voluntarily entered an in-patient mental health facility, where he spent 30 days receiving treatment.

Cartwright also made some brief comments on her current relationship status during the Nov. 14 panel. “I am single!” she declared.

Last month, she confirmed her split from her boyfriend of two months, Brandon Hanson, on her podcast. At BravoCon, she called the relationship a “short-lived thing,” but made it clear that she was not a “homewrecker” in the situation, and Hanson was also separated.

A source previously told PEOPLE that Cartwright had “found comfort” in Hanson as he, too, was going through a divorce and they were both “experiencing similar life changes.”

“The two have found comfort in each other as they’ve been navigating their respective divorces and personal life changes,” the source said.

BravoCon 2025 continues through Sunday, Nov. 16, at Las Vegas’ Caesars Forum.
