Paris Hilton’s mother, Kathy Hilton, has delivered the drama — and some much-needed comedic relief — through the years on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
But it seems that Kathy, 67, won’t be passing the reality TV torch to her daughter, 45, any time soon.
While speaking with PEOPLE exclusively at the Breakthrough Prize Ceremony in Los Angeles on April 18, Paris shut down any chance of appearing on the popular Bravo series, at least for right now.

“My mom is the OG and the queen. She can’t be topped,” Paris said, adding, “That show has too much drama for me.”
The media mogul also said she is “too busy” at the moment to join the cast.
Kathy made brief appearances as a “guest” on RHOBH through season 10. She then joined seasons 11 and 12 as a “friend of” the cast, went back to guest status for season 13, and then returned as a friend for seasons 14 and 15.

Kathy’s sisters, Kim Richards and Kyle Richards, were among the original cast members when the reality show premiered in 2010.
Kyle, 57, has remained as the only original star, while Kim, 61, departed from her main role following season 5.
Paris is also no stranger to reality television herself. She starred alongside Nicole Richie in The Simple Life from 2003 to 2007. The two reunited in 2024 for Peacock’s Paris & Nicole: The Encore.
In recent years, Paris has focused on her flourishing DJ career. She also released a documentary called This Is Paris in 2020 that shed light on the troubled teen industry. She alleged that she suffered physical and emotional abuse at her boarding school.

She also began starring in two other reality series: the culinary-focused Cooking with Paris on Netflix and Paris in Love on Peacock.
The latter show offers a behind-the-scenes look at Paris’ family life with husband Carter Reum, 45, as they raise their two children, London, 2, and Phoenix, 3.

Her latest project, a documentary called Infinite Icon: A Visual Memoir, premiered in theaters on Jan. 30.
“[It’s] the kind of love that’s so deep, it changes you forever,” she said about motherhood in the film. “When I look at my baby’s faces, I see everything I was ever meant to be. London and Phoenix are my whole heart, my ‘cutesie crew.’ “
Meanwhile, Kathy recently spoke exclusively to PEOPLE about passing on the family tradition of holiday charity work — especially as a grandmother.
“It’s a tradition, and they’re also learning too,” Kathy shared at QVC’s Holiday House pop-up in November 2025. “We do several toy drives, and I did a big pajama party, which my daughter Nicky and I do every year. And we give a percentage of the pajamas to Children’s Hospital.”
“We’ll be doing something for downtown for the mission, L.A. Mission, and we collect toys. And Paris’ two little ones came in the other day, and they [saw] all these unwrapped toys. They’re very polite, but they’re kind of going like, ‘Are these for us?’ ” she added. “So I explained to them. I don’t think they understood, but [I said], ‘No, they’re not for you. These are for other children who are in the hospital or not as fortunate.’ “

Kathy and her husband, Richard (Rick) Hilton, and their kids — Nicky, Paris, Barron and Conrad — frequently give back to various charities. She and DIRECTV previously partnered with Ronald McDonald House Charities to provide toys to families.

“It actually makes everybody feel good to be able to do something. During this time of year, we’re all very fortunate,” Kathy said at the time. “So it’s just a nice time to share, especially with the world, with everything going on. We have to celebrate the good times and make the best of every day.”
