The heart-warming appearance comes just weeks after a frightening dash to A&E…

Coleen Nolan was every inch the proud and doting grandmother as her adorable grandson Cruz made his television debut on Tuesday’s Loose Women.

The presenter, 60, couldn’t hide her joy as she introduced the three-month-old to viewers during her latest appearance on the ITV panel show, beaming as baby Cruz was brought onto the set.

Coleen’s son Shane welcomed his first child with partner Kim in November, making Cruz the newest addition to the Nolan family.

Shane is one of two children Coleen shares with her first husband Shane Richie, 61, whom she was married to between 1990 and 1999.
During the programme, Shane proudly carried little Cruz onto the studio floor, much to the delight of The Nolans star, with the touching moment instantly melting hearts.

However, the sweet on-screen debut came just weeks after Coleen revealed the family had endured a terrifying health scare when her grandson was rushed to A&E.
‘It Suddenly Became a Reality’

As the Loose Women panel discussed whether the nation is taking flu seriously enough, Coleen opened up about the frightening ordeal experienced by her son and his family.
She explained:
“My son — only in the last couple of days — it’s hit him and he had a temperature of 102.”
“Because they have Cruz, who is only five weeks old, his temperature started to go up, so they rushed him to A&E… and all of a sudden it starts to become a reality.”
Coleen added that the emergency department was packed with flu cases at the time.
“Kim, Shane’s partner, was saying at A&E it was just packed out with people who were there with the flu,” she said.
Shane and Kim, who have been together since 2024, welcomed their son Cruz-Carter on 13 November 2025. Both parents have children from previous relationships.
Coleen admitted the experience truly “hit home”, making the risks feel all too real.
A Growing Family and a New Chapter
Coleen is also grandmother to Sidney Ray, born in October this year to her daughter Ciara Fensome, whom she shares with ex Ray Fensome.
Away from family life, Coleen has recently wowed Loose Women viewers with her glamorous transformation after embarking on a weight-loss journey.
She previously revealed in 2024 that she experienced a major “wake-up call” after being told she was pre-diabetic following a severe chest infection.
As reported by the NHS, type 2 diabetes can lead to serious complications including kidney disease and coronary heart disease.
Coleen has spoken openly about using a structured weight-loss programme combining coaching and weight-loss injections, explaining her motivation was rooted in family.
She wrote in The Mirror:
“It’s been a wake-up call to say, ‘OK, fatty, you’ve had enough snacks — step away from the fridge!’”
She added:
“I’m 60 now. I’ve tried everything. I don’t want to wait until I’m type 2. I want to do this now — for my grandkids — and be as healthy as I can for as long as possible.”
Now, with baby Cruz safely home and making his first TV appearance, Coleen’s joy was unmistakable — a proud grandmother moment made all the sweeter after weeks of worry.
