Coronation Street star Daniel Brocklebank is set to shoot his final scenes on the ITV soap after a whopping 12 years as Billy Matthew.
The actor, 45, has played the role of vicar since 2014.
Now he’s already started a new job which is worlds away from his alter-ego who lives in Weatherfield.
‘It’s the end of an era for the show with Billy’s time on the cobbles coming to an end,’ a source told The Sun.
‘He’s been central to some of Corrie’s biggest storylines in the past decade but all things come to an end.’
Corrie fans will be very happy to know that they will be able to go and watch him in a theatre show next month.

Daniel is set to star in Young Frankenstein as Dr Frederick Frankenstein at the Liverpool Everyman Playhouse – and he has already started rehearsals.
The show, directed by Nick Winston, will be playing between 3 Dec 2025 and 3 Jan 2026.
He will be joined by Jessica Martin, Amelia Adams, Pete Gallagher, Curtis Patrick and Simeon Truby.
The likes of Julie Yammanee, Belle Kizzy Green, Robin Kent and Bryan Mottram will also be on the stage.
The show’s website states: ‘Grandson of the infamous Victor Frankenstein, Frederick Frankenstein (pronounced “Fronk-en-steen”) inherits his family’s estate in Transylvania.
‘With the help of a hunchbacked sidekick, Igor (pronounced “Eye-gore”), and a leggy lab assistant, Inga (pronounced normally), Frederick finds himself in the mad scientist shoes of his ancestors. “It’s alive!” he exclaims as he brings to life a creature to rival his grandfather’s.
‘Eventually, of course, the monster escapes and hilarity continuously abounds.’
When contacted by Daily Mail, a representative for Coronation Street confirmed that Daniel is still filming with them.

Back in May Daniel said of his departure: ‘I have been working on Corrie for a quarter of my life.
‘I have adored every minute I have been in that building and have never not looked forward to going into work.
‘I love everyone who works on this show and whilst I am sad to be going, I am equally excited to see what the future holds.’
Producer Kate Brooks added: ‘Billy will be involved in a major storyline over the coming months, which will see him tested in ways he never imagined, as friendships and his faith are pushed to the limit.
‘We’re incredibly sad to bid farewell to Dan, who has been fantastic in some of Corrie’s biggest storylines over the past few years, most notably Paul’s MND.
‘An actor of immeasurable talent and skill, and an absolute treasure behind the scenes – he will be missed by all of us on the cobbles.’
Coronation Street isn’t the only show that Daniel has starred in.
Over the years he’s landed roles in Casualty, The Bill, Doctors, Emmerdale and EastEnders.
It comes after Coronation Street viewers have been left sickened by a new stomach-churning paedophilia storyline.
With horrifying back-alley grooming scenes, one of the most shocking storylines to emerge from the cobbles is currently underway following the arrival of the Driscoll family.
The family moved into Coronation Street only last week and at the time, their youngest son, Will (Lucas Hodgson-Wale), 15, was away on a school trip.
However, it soon emerged that something was seriously amiss when Will did not return from the trip on time.
Following the involvement of the police, Will turned up to his parents’ relief after he goes into the Rovers garden underage and encounters Lily Platt (Grace-Ashcroft Gardner) studying.
In a bid to stay on the run longer, he tries to pay her to get his passport from his parents’ house, but she refuses and lets Will’s family know – prompting even more serious concerns for his welfare.
