Malcolm Winters (Shemar Moore) is back in Genoa City, and he’s going through a medical crisis. He has been diagnosed with aplastic anemia, and he needs a bone marrow transplant. Malcolm is hoping that his daughter, Lily (Christel Khalil), can be a match.
If Lily is not a match, there’s the chance that one of her children, Mattie or Charlie, could be one. Are there other blood relatives in the Winters clan that can help out and provide the life-saving marrow that Malcolm needs?
On Wednesday’s show, watch for Malcolm to reconnect with Dr. Stephanie Simmons (Vivica A. Fox), whom we learned on Tuesday’s episode is Holden Novak’s (Nathan Owens) mother!
Have Malcolm and Stephanie been in touch over the years? The two dated back in the 1990s, but it’s possible they haven’t seen each other in all these years. Could Stephanie’s role as a doctor help Malcolm get well?
Temptation island
On Wednesday’s show, watch for Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) to tempt Cane (Billy Flynn). It appeared that the two no longer have any business to conduct between them now that Phyllis has wrestled control of Newman from Cane. But that could be changing.
We’ve seen Cane in a panic in light of his financial status. He needs a new source of income. Perhaps if Phyllis tempts Cane with a business offer, he can grasp the opportunity to regain a power base. Then, Cane could make a move and become a power player once again in Genoa City.
Cane would be wise to ally himself with Phyllis as she’s holding all the power right now. But he should proceed with caution!
Secret keeper
On Wednesday’s episode of Y&R, watch for Lily to be trusted with a shocking secret. Could Lily be given some information that will help her biological father, Malcolm, who needs a bone marrow donation?
Soaps are all about two things — families and secrets. Is the secret that Lily is entrusted with connected to the Winters family? Or does it have something to do with the whole AI storyline in which Phyllis is currently on top?
Lily will always think of the late Neil (Kristoff St. John) as her father, as he’s the man who raised her. But Lily cares for Malcolm, too.
