Here is your General Hospital recap for Thursday, April 9, 2026 featuring Carly choosing between Jack and Valentin, and Jordan fights for her life at GH.
What happened on General Hospital

Kristina was surprised by Jacinda’s singing ability. Michael was just as shocked and revealed that he, too, had no idea that she could sing like that. He remarked that Jacinda was full of surprises, and he learned something new regularly.
Emma was proud of Gio for putting on an incredible performance after stepping away from music for a year. Kai agreed, and he believed that Gio and Trina’s performances were an astounding success. Kai had a feeling that Trina was in trouble with someone. She had no family members there to watch her sing, but luckily, Kai recorded everything for her parents to watch.
Emma knew that Trina was nervous, but would her family actually make things work? This wasn’t charity, though. This was in public, with nobody obligated to praise her abilities. Kristina walked over to the foursome and offered Trina and Gio the opportunity to repeat the performance down the line. Trina was immediately in, and Gio explained that he was apprehensive about doing it at first, but after playing with Trina, he was reminded of how much he missed it.

Brook Lynn returned home, and she ran into Tracy, who had just gotten home. She asked where Brook Lynn had been so late at night. Brook Lynn explained that Gio was performing at Charlie’s and didn’t want to miss it. Although the violin was his forte, he was equally gifted on the guitar.
Tracy was offended that she was trapped in a board meeting and missed her great-grandson’s return performance. Brook Lynn assured Tracy that she didn’t know about the performance until Dante called her right before he took the stage. Tracy pointed out that Gio chose to call Dante about his big moment rather than his mother.
Brook Lynn explained that it wasn’t a conspiracy to keep anyone out of the loop. Dante was there to support Kristina at the time, and it just happened to coincide with Gio’s return to the stage. Tracy observed the wine glasses and realized a celebration must have happened before she left for Charlie’s.
Unfortunately, Brook Lynn missed the performance. She showed Tracy the video and told her about the major steps she and Gio had taken since his parentage was revealed. He later performed with Jacinda, and Brook Lynn got to watch it with her own eyes.

Carly offered Valentin a drink, but he declined. He was still worried about Charlotte, and he asked Carly to allow her to make a visit to her home. However, Carly made it clear that Charlotte was fine, and there was no need for her to visit.
Carly wanted to discuss Curtis seeing him at the scene of the accident. She was terrified that the PCPD would ask too many questions and uncover that Valentin helped save Jordan. Valentin was certain that Curtis wouldn’t tell the police anything about his involvement, since he saved Jordan from death.
Carly had slightly good news for Valentin, and she explained that Danny and Charlotte weren’t involved in the accident that nearly killed Curtis and Jordan. However, Carly didn’t think their word would be enough to satisfy law enforcement. Valentin trusted Carly, but he wanted to speak to Charlotte for himself. She was a gifted liar, and he needed to see for himself if she was being deceitful.
Carly stormed away, and Valentin realized that something struck a nerve. She accused him of lying to her the entire time he’s been there. Carly didn’t know how she was supposed to believe that after listening to him boast about being a gifted liar.
Valentin claimed that he was being entirely truthful with Carly. If he were lying, he would’ve been able to look her in the eye and still support her relationship with Jack. However, he didn’t like it. He didn’t like Carly pretending to be in love with Jack, and although it was originally the plan, his feelings for Carly had grown.
Valentin suggested that Carly break things off with Jack. It was difficult for Valentin to be that open and honest. Carly allowed him the space to be transparent about his feelings. She asked what else he wanted to be honest about, but the doorbell rang, and it was Jack.
Jack told Carly that they needed to talk, and it was about Jason. Carly asked what he uncovered about Jason, and he revealed that Jason was being held in Jakarta. She wanted the chance to see him or speak to him, but he told her that there was nothing more he could do. He hacked into the WSB server to find out the information for Carly, and he did it because of his love for her.
Jack brought up how Carly was aware of his need to keep secrets from the beginning. He found it ridiculous that she gave Sonny and Jason so much grace, but she doesn’t afford him the same. Jack wanted a future with Carly, and he needed to know whether she felt the same way about him that he did about her. He gave her the chance to walk away then and there.
Carly couldn’t forget the fact that Jack risked everything to help Jason. He was able to do things for her that nobody else could. Jack said anything Carly wanted was hers, and as she looked at Valentin, who was standing outside, she passionately kissed Jack. Ultimately, she and Jack made love, signaling her choice.

Jordan arrived at General Hospital, and Lucas and Elizabeth jumped in to help immediately. Elizabeth updated Curtis on efforts to stabilize Jordan, but there was concern about internal injuries. Curtis wanted the doctors to be informed about Jordan operating on one kidney, and a donor kidney at that. She vowed to update him about the prognosis and that the General Hospital team would factor in her kidney condition.
Curtis called Trina from General Hospital and told her he was fine but that he and Jordan had been in a car accident. Jordan was hurt quite badly, and Trina and Kai took off to accompany her father. Michael tried to congratulate Trina on her performance on the way out the door, but she informed him about what happened with Jordan and Curtis and that she was headed to General Hospital.
Michael told Jacinda and Kristina about the accident, and he planned to head to General Hospital to check on Curtis. After Michael left, Jacinda noted that he was much softer on the inside than the tough exterior he put on for the world.
Despite Trina leaving for General Hospital, Emma pointed out to Gio that he, too, had had a major night. His family was there to support him, and this was the first time he’d played in front of both Brook Lynn and Dante. Seeing them support him reminded him of how his mother used to, and he didn’t think he’d ever see that look again.
Trina arrived at General Hospital quickly and wanted Curtis checked out by the medical staff. Chase showed up soon after and asked Curtis how he was doing. Although it wasn’t the best time, Chase had a few questions about the accident. It was best to do it while it remained fresh in Curtis’ mind.
Chase asked Curtis to walk him through exactly what happened that night. Michael showed up at General Hospital during the questioning, and to avoid any issues with Chase, he walked away. Curtis explained that he remembered waking up in the aftermath of the accident, and after confirming that Jordan was alive, he got her out of the car. He opted to leave out the part about Valentin’s assistance, for now.
The General Hospital medical team wheeled Jordan out and told Curtis that due to bleeding around her kidney, she needed emergency surgery. He spoke to her by her side, telling her to fight for herself and for their future. Curtis promised to be there when she woke up.
Portia told Isaiah she was concerned about how long he had been away. She grew increasingly worried the longer he was gone, so she called General Hospital, and they hadn’t seen him. Portia asked what was going on. He told her that he made a house call for a private patient, instead of working at General Hospital.
Portia hoped he could help, and he confessed he needed to monitor the patient moving forward. He hated worrying her, and assured her that he would rather spend the night in bed with her. She said that being in bed together was very much still an option, and she invited him to join in.
Portia received a call from Trina (who was at General Hospital), who told her about the accident and how grim Jordan’s prognosis looked. She frantically told Isaiah about Jordan’s injuries, and it looked like he may have known more than he was letting on.
