In tonight’s episode of Coronation Street, the investigation into Theo Silverton’s death goes back to square one now that Summer Spellman is in the clear. Is this bad news for Gary?
Meanwhile, Megan returns to cause more torment for Will.
1. Summer’s fate is finally revealed
Tyrone’s decision to finally reveal the truth about what he saw on the night of Theo’s death has major consequences – beginning with Summer.
A delighted Summer calls Todd from prison, confirming that she’s due to be released as the case against her has collapsed.
2. Gary is back in the frame
The police’s decision to clear Summer isn’t such positive news for Gary. DC Kit Green has always suspected him of keeping secrets about Theo’s demise, and he now has free rein to investigate his theories thoroughly.
Kit confronts Gary and warns that he’ll be watching him closely. The fresh police attention is also troubling for Maria, who may live to regret giving Gary a false alibi.
3. Tyrone faces a backlash
Tyrone frets that he’ll be public enemy number one on the cobbles following his miraculous revelation about Summer’s innocence, as he’s well aware of how suspicious it looks.
His worst fears are realised at the Rovers when Todd confronts him, demanding to know why it took him so long to stand up for Summer.
4. Maria fears the worst
Maria remains uneasy as Gary is clearly keeping secrets from her – and Sarah seems to be involved.
She suspects an affair between the ex-partners and her unease reaches new heights when Sean mentions that Gary and Sarah have been together all morning.
5. A flashback reveals what Gary is hiding
In a new flashback scene, Gary is seen standing on the scaffolding on the night of Theo’s death.
He looks down ominously at Theo’s body below – but does this mean that he’s the killer?
6. Megan tricks Will
Will is surprised to receive a message from Lee, his old running friend from Hull who was also groomed by Megan in the past.
He agrees to meet up with Lee, but realises that he’s been duped when Megan turns up instead. Megan is on a mission to convince Will to withdraw his statement against her – can she sway him?
7. Sam’s confusion continues
Sam speaks to Roy about the incident with Will’s water bottle the day before, still believing that the sinister “Roy” visions he’s been encountering are real.
Roy is baffled by Sam’s comment, but not enough to pursue it just yet…
