EXPOSED: TRAITOR STEPHEN CAUGHT WITH FAMOUS STAR! IS THE SHOW “RIGGED” FOR FAME?!

The Traitors star Stephen Libby has a very famous friend – and fans think she’ll launch him to further TV fame.

Cyber security consultant Stephen is one of two remaining Traitors on the BBC show’s latest series, alongside Rachel Duffy.

After seeing a video of Stephen’s loved ones watching the first episode, eagle-eyed fans spotted he has a famous pal.

It’s none other than comedian Lou Sanders, who watched on with the others as Stephen was appointed to be a Traitor.

Lou, 47, won the eighth series of Taskmaster in 2019 while last year, she appeared in Prime Video series Last One Laughing.

She has also appeared in Dancing On Ice, The Weakest Link and Richard Osman‘s House Of Games, to name a few.

On social media, rumours cropped up that Lou was the landlord of Stephen and his actor boyfriend Daniel Quirke.

A fan wrote: ‘Stephen’s landlord is Lou Sanders so he’s certainly got some connections that could help him launch a career from the show.’

Clearing up this misconception, Daniel responded: ‘Can confirm she is not our landlord, just a friend of ours.’

Meanwhile, other viewers reckon this celebrity link could prove beneficial to him after the show ends.

One remarked: ‘Stephen will absolutely do a interview hosting gig.’

Another said: ‘Stephen has such a pure soul and ALL of the outfits. Love him.’

A third took a different view, however, as they opined: ‘Stephen is close friends with Lou Sanders and his partner is an actor, raises questions about how “normal” the contestants are and the selection process.’

It comes as viewers were left heartbroken by Stephen and Rachel’s latest ‘murder’ in the game.

The treacherous duo whittled it down to Matty, Jessie and Faraaz but ultimately decided to get rid of Jessie in a double bluff, after she shared suspicions about Stephen.

Earlier in the day, Jessie signed her death warrant as she came for Stephen by suggesting he was the Traitor locked in a cage during one of the tasks.

In a risky strategy, Stephen planned to play on how it would be ‘too obvious’ for him to murder her and say he was being set up.

But the move appeared to work with Jessie herself as during her murder she claimed it removed her suspicion of him.

Sharing their upset at the murder, viewers wrote: ‘NOT JESSIE NOT MOTHER,’; ‘Jessie gone so now theres literally no hope for the faithful,’;

‘Game over. Poor Jessie was the only one with a backbone and intuition,’; Nah not Jessie! Faithfuls time to wake up!’;

‘NOOOOOOO JESSIE. There goes the last remaining brain cell.’

Later appearing on spin-off show Uncloaked, viewers saw Jessie’s reaction to learning that Stephen was indeed a Traitor.

Jessie, 28, was handed an envelope with the names of the two Traitors inside, which she read aloud to banished player Ellie.

She exclaimed: ‘Ellie, oh my God! I’m not just a daft lass who wears yellow and orange! He had the audacity to murder me!’

Jessie gasped and fell off her chair when she folded over the letter to discover that Rachel was also a Traitor.

The Traitors continues Wednesday from 8pm on BBC One and iPlayer.
