General Hospital’s Nina was in for quite a rude awakening when she learned just how diabolical her unhinged daughter is. When Willow told her mother that she was the one who shot Drew (twice!) and that she was the reason he was in a wheelchair, unable to speak or move, Nina was in a state of shock.
She also told Willow she was on her side and would make sure to never breathe a word of this to anyone. Nina also realized that she didn’t have a choice. And that’s where things get dicey.
Willow’s wacky world

As Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) regaled her tale of murderous mischief, Nina (Cynthia Watros) just stood there with tears in her eyes and her jaw dropped. She could somewhat understand why Willow lost control and shot Drew (Cameron Mathison) and could even slightly understand why she wanted him “locked in” but Nina also learned that Willow has no trouble sending her to jail if she has to.
Nina now knows that Willow had her give Drew his “pain meds” (which weren’t actually pain meds) so her prints would be all over the syringe. Willow straight out told her mother that if she chose Charlotte over her, she’d end up behind bars. She framed it as a favor. Now, she wouldn’t have to choose. Willow made the choice for her. Nina is aware that if that traffic cam footage surfaces, she is doomed.
Nina told Willow that she would always be on her side and go along with whatever she wanted. Nina seemed to mean it and maybe she did at the time, but we can see Nina thinking long and hard about what going along with Willow really means. If Nina finally wants to be the mother that Willow needs, she might realize that there is only one thing she can do.
A General Hospital wake-up call

Perhaps hearing just how unhinged her daughter has become is the wake-up call that Nina needs to realize that Willow needs some serious mental health help and probably has since she first came to Port Charles. Being raised in a cult during her teenage years and becoming the cult leader’s sex slave can really do numbers on a person’s psyche.
The more time Nina spends with a wheelchair-bound Drew, the more she will realize that he knows exactly what’s going on. Maybe she will even figure out that his incessant wild blinking means something. Eventually, it might even hit Nina that she has the power to wake up Drew by not giving him his meds or switching what is in Willow’s syringe with saline.
That would cause Drew to come out of his locked-in state and be able to tell all. Yes, he would broadcast exactly what Willow did to him but he could also help clear Nina of any wrongdoing. He would know that Willow set Nina up, so they could work to expose Willow together.
Drew would be exposing Willow just to get justice and revenge, but Nina would be doing it for another reason. If Nina does what needs to be done, Willow could get the help she needs and maybe emerge as a sane person. That’s a big maybe at this point, but it might be a chance Nina is willing to take.
