The Young and the Restless (Y&R) recap for Friday, July 3, reveals that Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk) will come unhinged while Diane Jenkins Abbott (Susan Walters) makes a getaway with Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) as backup.
At the Abbott mansion on Friday’s Y&R episode, Patty will complain about Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) keeping her waiting in the hot tub.
Jack will reject Patty, who’ll act like he’s giving her mixed signals and will ultimately disrobe in front of him.
Patty will try to tempt Jack, but he’ll push her to cover up and stop being so delusional.
Although Jack will maintain that Diane is the one he wants, Patty will insist on hitting the sheets tonight.
Jack will eventually follow Patty up to the bedroom, where he’ll reveal that Patty’s scheme is over.
After Jack explains how he tricked Dr. Laurence Markham (Jere Burns) using Patty’s phone, he’ll insist that Kyle is already bringing Diane home.
Patty will refuse to accept that and will make it clear that Jack just signed Diane’s death warrant.
At Dr. Markham’s place, Diane will hear a noise and cry out with relief when she sees Kyle.
After some hugs, Kyle will explain that Jack was already there trying to help Diane before he was thwarted by the Dobermans outside.
Kyle will note that he gave the dogs all the beef he could carry, but he’ll warn they could be the next course if they go out the way he came in.
Diane will rant about all Dr. Markham’s gaslighting and will push Kyle to hide after the doc shows back up.
As Kyle listens around the corner, Diane will get Dr. Markham to eat the drugged canapes and will talk to him about transference again.
At one point, Dr. Markham will secretly call Patty and leave a voicemail about her blowing him off following her emergency message.
After tonight, Dr. Markham will insist things have to change. Dr. Markham will ultimately flirt with Diane and suggest he’s developed strong feelings of his own, but Diane will stop him from kissing her.
Diane will also reveal that she used the sedatives on Dr. Markham right as he starts struggling to stay awake.
Kyle will pop up and help Diane deal with Dr. Markham, who’ll end up slumped over asleep in a chair.
That’ll give Kyle a chance to try all of Dr. Markham’s keys so they can unlock the door and make a break for it.
When Dr. Markham’s phone rings, Diane will see that it’s Patty and answer it.
Patty will realize her plan has truly crumbled, so Jack will send her away and speak with Diane briefly over the phone.
After Jack and Diane admit they have a lot to talk about, they’ll look forward to seeing each other again.
In the car later, Kyle will put Jack on speakerphone and offer reassurance about Diane being free.
Jack will announce that Patty is gone, so it’ll seem like things are working out for the Abbotts.
Kyle will also question Diane about whether she wants to go back to the athletic club or home.
Although Kyle will acknowledge that Diane doesn’t have to decide right now, she’ll know she wants to go back to the Abbott mansion.
Unfortunately, Patty will make it back to the Abbott manse first – and she’ll have a knife!
After Patty moves in close and stabs Jack with it, she’ll talk about them being together forever in the afterlife as Jack bleeds on the floor.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Jack will be in desperate need of medical care, so stay tuned for all the scary news to come.
