Love Island star Belle Hassan‘s family have spoken out after viewers accused her behaviour of ‘screaming guilty’ when she walked away during Jessy Potts’ emotional moment.
During Sunday night’s episode of the ITV show, the girls received video calls from their loved ones back home.
While speaking to her father, Jessy broke down in tears after he confronted her about her behaviour towards Lucinda Strafford.
Left devastated by the tough conversation, she returned to the garden to update her fellow cast mates.
As Jessy revealed that her dad felt she hadn’t been coming across in a positive light due to her treatment of Lucinda, Belle responded: ‘I can’t do this.’
She then stood up and stormed away from the fire pit to the dressing room to have a moment alone.

They said: ‘It’s giving guilty conscience from Belle’,
‘Belle walking away is screaming guilty’,
‘Now why’s belle walking off, girl this isn’t about you!’,
‘Belle walking off but when Lucinda done it “ it’s giving PR”’,
‘Belle walking away from the accountability and guilt eating her up’,

Following the episode, Belle’s family have taken to her Instagram account to urge fans to be kind with their words.

Alongside a stunning selfie of the reality star, the penned: ‘Watching someone you care about be discussed online is never easy.
‘We understand that being on Love Island All Stars means people will have opinions.
‘Not everyone will agree with Belle’s attitude or behaviour, and that’s completely okay. She signed up for a show where her actions would be judged, and we respect that viewers are entitled to their views.
‘But there is a difference between criticism and cruelty.
‘Behind the edits, the drama and the headlines is a real person with real feelings, a family, and friends who love her deeply. None of us see the full picture on television, only moments shaped for entertainment.
‘This post is not about asking for sympathy. It’s not about excusing behaviour. It’s simply about asking for kindness.
‘We’ve seen before how online hate can have devastating consequences.
‘We cannot ignore that history. You can dislike someone’s behaviour. You can disagree.
Fans also flooded the comments, urging everyone to think about their words
‘But hateful comments, personal attacks, and threats are never okay.
‘Please remember, reality TV is temporary. The impact of words can last far longer.
‘Let’s do better.’

They penned: ‘People can share thoughts, but being cruel or extreme is never okay’,
‘We love you Belle’,
‘I agree, she should be respected at all times’,
‘You’re amazing Belle never change keep being you. I love you!’,
‘Sending love to Belle all the way from California. People like to judge saying “oh I wouldn’t react that way” but how would you know. Have you ever been on an island secluded from family & friends. The real world in general. I’m not saying she 100% right for her actions but I remember Belle from series 5. And I still liked her that way. She speaks her mind. But sometimes people like to twist and make it seem bad when she didn’t mean it that way. I hope her mental health will be okay when she gets out.. sending lots of love.’
Just on Friday evening Lucinda walked out during another explosive clash with Jessy and Belle.

The dramatic moment saw host Maya Jama rushing to offer Lucinda some emotional support amid the ongoing ‘bullying’ row on the show, which sparked a series of Ofcom complaints.
The feud-filled villa previously saw Lucinda locking horns for now several episodes with Belle Hassan, with the first complaining about Belle’s recent behaviour with Scott van-der-Sluis.
Tensions started to fray when Lucinda stole Sean Stone from Belle – who gave her a dressing down – with the tables then turning as Belle made a play for Scott, despite him being coupled up with Leanne Amaning.
Viewers watched as Belle pulled Scott for a chat in the Secret Garden despite his rolling romance with Leanne, prompting Lucinda to take Belle aside and sparking a war of words.
Later on in the episode, as Lucinda did her speech by the fire pit and took a dig at her nemesis Belle, but Jessy was next to hit back telling her: ‘I’m a bit confused about the comments in the recoupling speech.’
Lucinda eventually stormed off after another with Jessy, who told her in a bitter exchange: ‘You’re going to make yourself look like a twat Lucinda, I’m trying to be here for you.’
Host Maya rushed to comfort her away from the other Islanders in the living room, saying: ‘It’s alright, obviously you’ve had disagreements with people, you’re not going to get on with everyone.’
‘I genuinely feel like it’s me against the world in this place,’ Lucinda replied emotionally.
