Viewers have been left questioning everything inside the I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! camp after Vogue Williams finally lifted the lid on why Martin Kemp was quietly exempt from several brutal Bushtucker Trials — while she herself continued despite a painful jungle injury.

The Irish presenter, 40, who was booted from the ITV show earlier this week, went live on Instagram from her luxury room at the five-star Marriott Hotel in Surfer’s Paradise on Wednesday night to answer fans’ burning questions about life behind the scenes.
And it didn’t take long before the subject everyone has been whispering about came up.
Why Martin Didn’t Do the Trials
During the Q&A session, Vogue confirmed what many viewers had begun to suspect — Martin Kemp was officially exempt from a number of trials.

“Martin did want to do the trials,” she told followers. “But Martin was exempt from some.”
She added that, unusually for this year’s lineup, most of the camp genuinely wanted to take part.
“I think everybody wanted to do the trials this year, which was probably unusual,” she said. “But Martin is quieter — he was kind of happy to let everybody else go ahead.”

Vogue was quick to defend him personally, adding: “Martin’s sound. Such a nice guy. He’s really, really lovely.”
Despite this, fans online were far less forgiving as social media exploded with accusations that he was ‘coasting’ through the competition.
Comments flooded X during Wednesday’s episode, including:
‘Another day, another trial Martin isn’t doing.’
‘Is Martin wearing the cloak of invisibility?’
‘Jack hasn’t had a break and Martin hasn’t done ANY.’
Even Martin’s own son, Roman Kemp, previously joked about his dad’s lack of trial time — fanning the flames even further.
ITV has declined to comment, though it is understood that medical history and age are among the factors that can lead to exemptions.
Vogue’s Painful Jungle Injury — And Why She Still Competed
While Martin was quietly protected from some of the toughest challenges, Vogue herself was battling a nasty knee injury that viewers only saw glimpses of on screen.
She explained exactly how it happened.
“There are loads of bridges in the jungle that cross different areas,” she said. “You walk all the time — up and down like a yo-yo.”
The injury came from a game the campmates invented to kill time.
“One of the games was trying to beat our time across the bridge,” Vogue revealed. “They’re really bouncy. I ran… and I fell. I completely busted my knee.”
The injury was serious enough for medics to rush in immediately — yet she still completed her trial.
“It was really painful and a bit gross,” she admitted. “The medic fixed me up and then I went to do the trial anyway.”
Ant McPartlin had earlier confirmed the dramatic fall on air:
“She was strapped down. She fell over… she was trying to run as fast as she could across the bridge.”
Despite fears of scarring, Vogue pushed through — a stark contrast that hasn’t gone unnoticed by viewers comparing her situation to Martin’s.
Did This Cause Tension With Ruby Wax?
While Vogue was careful with her words, fans now believe these behind-the-scenes dynamics may have contributed to growing off-camera tension between Martin Kemp and Ruby Wax — especially as Ruby became visibly frustrated in the days before her shock elimination.
Online theorists claim Ruby’s outspoken nature and Martin’s exemptions created a quiet divide, although nothing has been officially confirmed. Still, many viewers now believe the atmosphere inside camp was far more complicated than what made it to air.
One fan wrote:
“There was something brewing between Martin and Ruby — you could feel it.”
Another added:
“The edits didn’t show it, but you could tell everyone wasn’t on the same page.”
Viewers Still Divided
The revelation has only deepened the debate surrounding fairness inside the jungle, with some fans insisting exemptions are part of the game — and others claiming they tilt the playing field.
As the competition races toward its dramatic finale, Martin Kemp remains in the spotlight for all the wrong reasons, while Vogue’s determination despite injury has earned her a surge of support.
And with Ruby Wax now gone, many viewers are asking whether what happened behind the scenes played a bigger role than anyone expected.
