On the advice of my grandmother, I feed tomatoes with lemonade and collect a bucket from each bush

Using soda as a top dressing for tomatoes plays a key role in improving their health as well as increasing yields. Soda not only helps protect the plants from various diseases and pest attacks, but also prevents yellowing of the leaves.

Soda as a guardian of tomato health

Feeding tomatoes with a soda solution

Regular use of soda solution as a top dressing serves as an effective prevention of fungal and viral infections in tomatoes. Many years of experience (five to seven years) show that this method makes tomatoes more resistant and healthier.

To prepare a protective plant you will need:

  • 2 tablespoons baking powder;
  • 1 tablespoon sunflower oil;
  • 30-40 grams of chopped soap.

All ingredients should be thoroughly mixed in a 10-liter bucket, then pour the liquid into a sprayer and treat each tomato bush. Spraying creates a protective film on the plants, which effectively protects them from harmful microorganisms.

It is recommended to treat with soda 2-3 times per season.

Combating yellowing of leaves with baking soda

Soda is also a reliable remedy against yellowing of tomato leaves, which is especially important in hot and dry weather.

To prepare the solution you need:

  • 1 tablespoon of baking soda per 10 liters of water.

Two to three treatments during the season are enough to reliably protect the tomatoes from yellowing leaves.

Thanks to regular spraying with soda solution, my tomatoes grow healthy, strong and produce a rich harvest. The fruits are large, juicy and sweet, which I like to share with friends and acquaintances.
