The Netflix release date for Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man is only a few months away, falling on March 20.

Though if you’re lucky enough to live near one of the cinemas screening the movie, you can grab some popcorn and prepare to enjoy two weeks earlier on March 6.

A list confirming which cinemas will be showing the film is yet to be released.

“It’s 1940 in Birmingham, amidst the chaos of World War Two,” reads the official synopsis.

“Tommy Shelby (Cillian Murphy) is coming back from a self-imposed period of exile to face his most destructive reckoning yet.

“With the future of the family and the country at stake, it’s up to Tommy to battle his demons head on and choose whether to confront his legacy or burn it to the ground.

“By order of the Peaky Blinders…”

Academy Award nominee Barry Keoghan (Saltburn, The Banshees of Inisherin) and Primetime Emmy Award winner Stephen Graham (Adolescence, Boiling Point) are set to star alongside Cillian, bringing with them a wealth of talent and expertise.

Rebecca Ferguson (Dune, A House of Dynamite) and Academy Award nominee Tim Roth (Reservoir Dogs, The Hateful Eight) will also make an appearance, with Sophie Rundle returning as Ada Thorne much to the excitement of fans.

The film is directed by Tom Harper who’s mostly known for his work directing the Peaky Blinders series.

He’s also worked on a BBC TV mini-series of War & Peace as well as other shows including The Aeronauts and Wild Rose.

Meanwhile Peaky creator Steven Knight returned to the helm to script The Immortal Man, whose most recent TV credits include SAS: Rogue Heroes and A Thousand Blows.

While he’s known for his popular TV work, he’s no stranger to films, having written the screenplays for films Cloded Circuit, Dirty Pretty Thing, and Eastern Promises.

Steven has also dabbled in directing, having directed Hummingbird and Serenity and actor Tom Hardy in Locke.

The original series of Peaky Blinders concluded in 2022, wrapping up after its sixth season.

However, after the movie launches, producers have shared that two more seasons of the show are going to be created.

These seasons will focus on a new generation of Shelbys, following the original series’ conclusion.
