SARAH’S K.I.L.L.E.R CONFESSION DESTROYS KIT’S PROPOSAL 💍💥 CORONATION STREET’S DARKEST LOVE TWIST YET!!!

Coronation Street‘s Sarah Platt makes a killer confession next week, as she finally tells Kit Green that she murdered Theo Silverton – just after the copper has asked her to marry him.

After his first proposal attempt failed, Kit cooks a surprise romantic lunch to pop the question. But while Kit’s thoughts turn to their happy-ever-after, Sarah remains convinced she could end up behind bars. Feeling as if she has no choice, Sarah drops the bombshell that she murdered Theo…

“Sarah knows that if Kit finds out, everything blows up – their relationship and his career,” explains Tina O’Brien, who plays the killer.

“Kit would be put in a position where he’d be forced to choose between turning her in or becoming a dodgy cop. Telling him means the perfect relationship he believes they have is over.”

As the week kicks off, Kit clocks Maria Connor and Gary Windass arguing in the street, and becomes more convinced than ever that the couple are hiding something. He confides his theories in Lisa Connor-Swain, who reminds him that he’s off the case.

Meanwhile, Sarah is desperate to confess, but doing so would land Gary in hot water…

“Sarah doesn’t know how to behave anymore, and she’s hitting breaking point,” admits Tina. “She’s struggling with the idea of getting married while hiding such a massive secret. There’s part of her that wishes she could tell Kit, and another that’s desperate for him not to find out!”

Sarah offloads her dilemma right after Kit asks her to marry him. But after she admits her part in Theo’s death, will Kit protect her from prison?

“I’d like to hope Kit would protect Sarah,” muses Tina. “Because of the way he feels about Gary, if it came down to it, I think he would throw Gary under the bus to protect her!”

Down at the police station, Kit studies the evidence board relating to Theo’s murder and tries to quiz DC McLaughlin about the suspects to see if Sarah’s on their radar.

And later, Kit warns Sarah that her ex holds the key to her freedom – and she must get hold of Gary’s phone to delete any incriminating data!

With a plan to keep Sarah safe, Kit contacts the man hired to wipe Gary’s phone, asking him to forward any information to his personal email. But is the copper trying to stitch up Gary?

Meanwhile, Weatherfield police get ready to arrest Theo’s killer. But do they have the right person? And is Sarah in danger of going to prison?

“I’d be very worried for Sarah if she ended up in prison,” teases Tina. “She might appear to be a soft touch to hard criminals, and I worry she’d get into problems – especially if they found out she has a partner who’s a police officer…”
